After having been to numerous presidential homes, I can honestly say this is one of my favorites. The house is located near the historic embassay row and the walk to the house was interesting on its own. And then there is the house. First off, there was no else besides my family and I at this historical gem, so if youre looking to avoid the tourist traps and see some history, this is your place. Like I said earlier, I have been to many presidential homes. Most of them contain reproductions of house items or just period pieces. However, in this house almost everything is original, including the pen Woodrow Wilson used to sign the WWI declaration of war. The tour was interesting and informative and I came away with a new respect for Woodrow Wilson. Id recommend this for anyone interested in Woodrow Wilson or history.

Woodrow Wilson home is such a beautiful hidden jewel in Washington D.C. I live in N. VA and have done almost everything in DC. I wanted to try something different and chose the Woodrow Wilson home. Their website is not the best, but WOW the home and tour is spectacular! The home is 11,000 square feet and 90% of the furniture and artifacts are original. Beautiful paintings, art and decor. The tour is an hour long and includes a short introduction video about Woodrow Wilson. The home takes you back to the 1920s and is just amazing. I would even go again. I will definitely take my next out of town guests here. Parking was great too. I went on a Sunday and parked literally right in front of his home.

We received a group guided tour through the house. The guide was extremely well informed about Woodrow Wilson, his two wives, and of course the house. The house is fully furnished with Woodrow Wilsons actual furniture, and looks just as it was when he lived there after his presidency. We learned so much about this president, his times and accomplishments. The house is beautiful, and as others have said, it is in a beautiful neighborhood.

The tours run every hour on the hour. You get a genuine look at Woodrow Wilsons house, almost everything is still there from the 1920s. Tour guides are very helpful and knowledgeable.

Wilson was a ... problematic president to say the least. But a fascinating snapshot of American history and a fascinating house.
