The Kreeger Museum seems like a hidden DC gem. I had never heard of it, but I went recently with an acquaintance, and I was pleasantly surprised by its impressive (albeit small) collection. They have a number of Picassos, Rodins, Monets, etc., so if you like the masters, you will enjoy yourself. I also enjoyed the really cool outdoor sculpture garden area. My least favorite was the temporary exhibition ("The Lure of the Forest"), but all in all, I would recommend checking this museum out..! Just keep in mind that its not that easily accessible by public transit, so go with a friend who has a car.

Beautiful modern architecture. Wonderful art collection which includes classic and modern pieces. I recently visited for the Smith / Paley exhibit which I highly recommend. I wish they were occasionally open on weekends. Hard to find time to go during the week.

I went for a private viewing of the K@20 exhibition - which is an interesting show. The grounds are beautiful. I would go back just to tour them again. I would give yourself a few hours if you want to see the entire space - probably half of the day.

One of the most amazing "hidden" art museums in the world! They have works by Picasso, Kandinsky, Monet, Van Gogh, Miro, Still, Gene Davis, and so much more. Plus the house/museum was designed by Philip Johnson and the sculpture garden is gorgeous.

I was shocked on the size of the museum which also used to be a house. The museum was really beautiful and the art works were amazing. I love that they have special exhibitions; now they have African American art on exhibit.

What a treat! Art and architecture in one place. If you ever dreamed of building a home to house your paintings, be inspired by The Kreeger Museum.

Amazing collection in an interesting building - a home designed to become a museum. The breakfast nook / room full of Monets is sublime.

A wonderful small museum on a wooded site. The collection of art is housed in a geometric, masterpiece Phillip Johnson building.

The museum is beautiful and the collection is extraordinary. Much more serene atmosphere than the larger museums in the area.
