The Textile Museum possesses a fascinatingly diverse collection that is approachable to someone with no familiarity with textiles. They regularly rotate exhibits and feature special events, so be sure to pick up a brochure to keep track of them! Gift shop also has great selection, though many items are steeply priced.

Hard to find, doesnt open until almost mid day, great gift shop, but the collection has just lousy explanations to go with the work on display. Unless you know all about what you are viewing you will not be enlightened by what you read.
