First State Golf Center has a fantastic, professionally designed, immaculately manicured, challenging miniature golf course. It is a hidden local gem and one of the best, most beautiful miniature golf courses our family has ever played. The features with roughs, sand traps, turns, water features and hills are so well thought out that we knew we were playing a professional course. Our family went on Fathers day, took our time and enjoyed 2 hours playing the 18 holes. Our 8 year old had a lot of fun and made one hole-in-one, and the adults found it challenging. No one broke par for the course. Love the flags marking each hole. Waterfall, lagoons and waterways intermixed among the picturesque greens. The price was amazing.... $5 per adult before 4 pm, $6 after. It was not crowded, and we were not rushed. There is shade on the front 9. Nestled behind a movie theater off the main road, First State Golf Center also has a driving range with GREAT prices for buckets of balls ($11 for large), and many of the driving range tees are under the shade of a large pavilion. Very clean, air conditioned bathrooms and main office, drinking water fountain on site, grounds perfectly manicured, beautifully landscaped and clean, greens on mini golf are brand new. There is a golf instructor available, and the center is listed as USGA certified. We drove an hour there to meet family for a fun outing, and will DEFINITELY go back!

Went there yesterday to hit a bucket of balls, the buckets were expensive! $8.50 for a medium bucket and if I wanted to hit off the grass it was 75 cents more. But that would have been fine and good except the grass was like hitting from the rough, or hitting in your backyard. The grass was super high and weeds everywhere. We ended up just moving to the mats which were brand new (only reason why they are getting a 2 star) When we started to hit the balls about a 1/3 of the balls were either cracked or were misshapen, 1/3 we very old recycled looking range balls and the last 1/3 were passable at best. These balls were the worst I have ever seen, and would just die off the club and fly in weird paths! I would not suggest going there if you can avoid it. Even at $5 a bucket I would still avoid this place.

Okay course. TERRIBLE service. I went here with a group of friends recently. We are all between the ages of 16-18 and every one of us is a well behaved honors student at our high school. The employee working at the time yelled at us multiple times for seemingly insignificant things (such as removing the flag out of the golf hole so that the ball wouldnt bounce off the pole and would fall into the golf hole easier) and watched us almost the whole time, which made the entire group very uncomfortable. By the end, he had directly insulted one of my friends, and their mother got into an argument with the man for being so disrespectful. He allowed us to finish our last hole and told us not to come back and none of us plan on doing so.

As far as mini-golf goes, this course was very nice. It was very clean and landscaped nicely. The course itself was challenging with dog-leg bends, imitation sand-pits, rough, hills, boulders, and ramps that led to water flows. Each hole had a feel of a true golf course but "mini". I will be going back for sure.

Beautifully landscaped and well maintained mini-golf course. Felt like I was playing on a small scale Torrey Pines. The staff was friendly, too.
