I have visited this vineyard 3 times and I gotta tell ya, don’t waste your time. The staff is mediocre at best. I won’t bore you with the details, but they ignored both my wife and me as we stood at the counter for 15 minutes waiting to have a tasting. I thought it might be because they didn’t see me, 62 285 guy, right. I asked for assistance when I was ignored, I was greeted with sarcasm and apathy. We will never be back. But don’t worry my wife and myself visit EVERY winery in the state of Connecticut EVERY year and will convey our experience to anyone that cares to listen. We all know how the vineyard crowd likes to chat, and might not want to make such a long drive for sub-par service. I don’t expect nor care if I get a call from Gloria, her attitude is half the staffs problem.

We have been to this vinyard many times, great place to go after stocking up at Cato corner with some cheese. My fiance and I are getting married in September and we requested to take our first look photos on their premises. When my fiance called she was greeted by an extremely rude staff member. He told her that it was insulting for her to ask to take photos at the vineyard without having our reception there. All we wanted was some lovely first look photographs and we were met with disapointment. We were avid supporters of this vineyard and will never return and will share that sentiment with friends and family. Very rude and disrespectful, will not recommend this venue for any event.

Great experience at Priam. Cozy tasting room and very friendly staff complemented the incredible wine selection. Three different tasting options (4, 6, or 8 wines). Spring for the 8 wines - they are all wonderful. Each is unique and some were spectacular (I dont usually drink whites, but my wife wanted to try the 2 year oak Chardonnay. It was amazing). We visisted on a cold December day, wish we had come in warmer weather. The tasting room is in a quaint lodge and the property is very pleasant and scenic. Great winery.

This is our favorite Connecticut vineyard, out of all 25 on the wine trail. They consistently make the best wine and they have no weak spots among their offerings. At most other vineyards we only find 1-2 wines we really enjoy. Also, the owner/winemaker is almost always there and he is a super friendly guy that reminds me of Bill Clinton. Hes a character. The wine tastings are a little overpriced but you only need to do that once to find your favorites.

Overall wine and atmosphere were casual and enjoyable. Inside was small and meant really only for tasting at the wine bar. Outside had a nice cozy patio to enjoy with a cover and picnic tables on the hills of the vineyard if you want a little more sun. Wine tasting gives you three options to choose from allowing you to try a few to all wines they have. (Dont forget to check out the cheese far on your way in as well, on Fri - Sat)

Wine is okay for Connecticut, but skip the trip. Wine tasting not worth the ten dollars--not much welcoming spirit here. Feels like you are in someones backyard without the welcoming atmosphere. I am sure the vinter works very hard and the wine is good. I suggest if you like local order online or ask your favorite grocery story to carry.

Disappointed. Staff barely interacted with us except to pour wine. Felt that we were bothering the person pouring the wine and he had more important things to do. Definitely not the friendly, warm environment that it was when Gary was there. He always made you feel welcomed.

Absolutely love the staff, the wine, and the company! The Rosé is the best in my opinion, it really does taste like a jolly rancher. The seating outside is cute, and the atmosphere is so relaxing!

Great little vineyard with plenty of outdoor seating. Try the Salmon River White (even if youre not a white drinker).

Decent. Nice area, gravel driveway. Wines are ok, mostly sweet ones. Merlot, only bottles.
