After checking out several wineries to visit we decided on traveling 1 1/2 hours to Hardwick because it looked beautiful on their website, has wine tastings, and the calendar of events said there would be live music at 2pm. We discovered after traveling 1 1/2 hours that it was closed because of a wedding!! They were still offering wine tastings - a few people were standing around a table in the lobby sampling wines! Really, this NOT my idea of a wine tasting. Vineyard looks small and worn out. No tours offered that I could see. If you decide to visit, call first to make sure they are open.

Im not sure why anyone goes here. The wines are not great, overly sweet and just not well done. They dont use their own grapes anymore. The tasting fee is steep because it comes with a glass that I dont need or want. One person working the bar on a Sunday (mothers day) so we waited as she wasnt very fast. Jumped us for payment up front and made us feel like we had to open a tab. This is the only winery Ive walked out of without purchasing a bottle and I dont plan on going back. If youre looking for a nice winery try Taylor Brooke, Mulberry, Verde, or Mineral Hill

Came up to Hardwick as part of the state wine trail. What a wonderful experience. Fantastic tasting experience (thanks Amy!), and to boot, a glass of wine to be hard while I sat down on the comfortable porch to listen to the live band. I wish I lived closer so I could come by more often. The wines are all wonderful too! Enjoyed a bottle of Yankee Girl Blush by the campfire last night. I recommend this winery, go up for the day and bring a lunch. They have live music on the weekends, check their website for details.

Located near Quabbin Reservoir on a scenic road. The property and two-story farmhouse building are nice. The wine list is simple and includes 6 wines. The tasting of 6 wines is $6 and you keep the glass. I did not like how they use portion controllers to pour samples. The wines range from dry to sweet and all are about 12% abv. The prices are reasonable. A receipt from here gets you a free tasting at Amherst Farm Winery in Amherst, MA and vice versa. FYI, there was a sign inside that they are looking for growers.

I strongly advise against any minority from patronizing this winery. They will not acknowledge you or welcome your business unless youre white from what I directly observed. Typical behavior from country bumpkin people, who have resorted to masquerading sub-standard wine as a refined taste in order to save a failing agricultural venture. Unfortunate.

Had a girls day out; sampled wine and purchased a bottle to drink while enjoying listening to a live band. They released a new wine called Baystate Blueberry it was very good. Has a hint of sweet and dry at the end. But easy on the pallet. I would go again my best friend and I enjoyed cheese and crackers and live music.

Tried contacting them multiple times to discuss holding a wedding here. Never got a response through email and when I called I was told to email them to arrange a date and time to discuss everything. Very disappointing since we had out hearts set on thus location.

This is 100℅ pure New England. My wife and I i regulars and as we are referred to has by our friends and family wine snobs as we rarely drink any other wines. Especially the major wine production folks. Keep it good and keep it local.

Very poor service and wasnt able to keep a wine glass after paying $60. Also was supposed to be guaranteed a walk through on the web site and the worker there completely neglected that part

Our visit to Hardwick Winery was nothing but amazing. We spent all day on the beautiful grounds drinking their exceptional wine. We will definitely be visiting again.

Love the wines and the space! Great live music, outdoor picnic tables near a play place for kids, and dogs are welcome on the grounds (not at the bar though).
