Wanted to showoff the best dining in Vail to house guests. Had already been to Sweet Basil and La Tour. Dining experience was a complete disaster including service, wine, food & management responses (lack thereof). Routine cocktails took 25 minutes but one was "missing" and took another 15 minutes to be delivered. Refills for empty cocktails and wine were non existent (it took the bar manager to find our open wine bottle). Similar delays with food service; when our server was asked why diners around our table who had been seated well after our group had already been served, she replied "would you like me to take their food and serve it to you?" Both the bar manager and the hospitality manager made frequent excuses and promised to "take care of things", which they clearly did not. When our experience was shared with the general manager via email, he noted he had shared my issues with staff and used them as a "training experience, and to give them another chance (why would we at those prices?)." A 300% markup for wines is rather exorbitant. Will never be back especially when there are so many other wonderful choices in the Valley.

One of the best dining experiences Ive had for sure. The place really hit on all cylinders. Inventive dishes, great execution and top notch service. We ordered a whole sampling of the menu and not a single item from appetizer to dessert was less than delicious. Must. Try. The Donuts. We loved them so much, made a comment about them and next thing the pastry chef came out to chat with us, Not a cheap dinner but certainly worthy of the cost.

My husband and I went to Larkspur for our 5th wedding anniversary and were very pleased. A complimentary glass of champagne started the evening off. Our entrees (chicken and veal) were beautiful in presentation and tasted fresh, unique, and delicious. We split the gazpacho which was made from yellow tomatoes and was excellent. Leave room for the cinnamon donuts. Hats off to great chef and servers.

First of all we set at a table in the bar 4 happy hour they first brought us a marguerita in a broken glass then we were charged 13.50 for it. It was bad marguerita in the place.

Larkspur is the best place to eat for lunch while on the mountain. They have the best tomato soup ever! definitely a must try!
