My husband and two children are traveling today, and I had pre-purchased a groupon stay for them. They arrived to no record of reservation. Once that was fixed, they demanded a credit card deposit for "expenditures". My husband was only carrying cash, so he had to give them his food money. I read the fine print of the groupon VERY carefully, and nowhere does it say anything about a deposit required. They boast their parking and wi-fi - but no deposit. The entire purpose of pre-paying for the room was so that we could budget accordingly. The staff member assured him it was that way everywhere and made him feel low-class. We usually stay at a La Quinta down the road - never had a problem OR been asked for an extra deposit. Since Ive pre-paid for his return trip as well, Im hoping the staff will show a little more grace next week. I will edit after completed trip. EDIT: After receiving a welcome text on my phone from management (i guess they had my number on file instead of hubbies), I let them know I was no pleased with how my family was received. I was sent a reply by Vanessa, who is also the desk attendant who made my husband feel uncomfortable, and she was unapologetic about their deposit policy, informing me that it was only by her managers good graces that they accepted cash in lieu of a credit card. She then implied that I was to understand that the return trip would require said deposit again. At that point I asked my husband how he liked the stay compared to our usual. He stated that the room was nice, but not nice enough to warrant the staff attitude. I promptly cancelled next weeks res and booked elsewhere. Not only will he not book here again for our semi annual trip, we will not book any Heritage hotel.

Highly overrated...look elsewhere. The evening desk staff were rude, the hotel does not have the usual amenities associated with a 4 star hotel (as is rated here) and all food service closes down at 11:00 pm. Good luck finding an ice or vending machine. The room that we stayed in was...interesting. The bathroom sink would have overflowed if we had not intervened due to incredibly slow drainage, the shower head kept dripping even after being shut off, the rubber mat in the tub was torn and floated around the tub unless one was standing on it (kind of like surfing) and the toilet ran on and off all night. There was hair in the bathroom sink (not ours), the grout around the sink was cracked and dirty. We stepped outside at one point late in the evening to walk our dog and two men in a vehicle parked just outside of the entrance were having a very heated argument. They did not appear to be guests and quite frankly it was a surprise that no one seemed to notice them as they were very loud. The security guards were on indoor computers at the time. This hotel is quaint in a sleazy sort of way. Dont waste your money. I gave this hotel two stars because it is still standing.

Ok so I am exhausted as we have been on the road all day so forgive my grammar please! I am writing this because I am EXTREMELY shocked with this hotel, it is AMAZING! I have traveled over a good amount of the world and stayed at everything from the Savoy in London, Ritz in Paris to Holiday Inn Express and when I walked in the entry of this hotel the attention to detail struck me immediately. From rotiron luggage carts to the stunning high end leather sofas and over sized tall chairs in the entry and the gorgeous check in counter. The copper room number plates for each room, seriously this place is beautiful. My son always complains about work out rooms being a couple broken down machines and not having free weights, not this place. The outside would take me longer than I have to explain but it is like a fine magazine photo shoot outside with every corner done in pristine fashion and inviting seating areas that although are to share, give the illusion of privacy. Rooms are beautiful and clean. We ate in the restaurant on site and ISAAC B. ROCKED, service was 5 star and food was the same!!! Seriously if you are passing through give this a try - this hotel is stunning!

This place is the epitome of mediocre. Wow, we expected so much more from this place. The good - pet friendly and free wifi The rest - we got into our room and it smelled quite odd. It looked clean but not sure how long it had been since they had actually used products to assure it was clean. At this price point we also expected an in-room fridge. Not so. Weve been traveling across the country and had cleaner rooms with the fridge (for $50 less). This was the most expensive stop we had. When we made the reservation they never sent us an email confirmation and we had to call again to get that to assure they even had our reservation. Not very organized there. The lobby is has cool decor and the little gift shop has some fun trinkets. Stay away from Gardunos inside unless you just want a few drinks. We expected at least good Mexican food and it was far below average. Everything was incredibly "watered-down" like it was designed for tourists that arent used to authentic Mexican cuisine with flavor. Were checking out shortly and will hit something on the way out for breakfast. Skip this one, there are plenty of other hotels in the area.

hotel was nice but the staff was uselss, ordered an amenity from room service which was never sent, the next day when I spoke to the Front Desk they said they would resend it free of charge, next day still NOTHING, by this point I gave up with room service but when checking out I had to re-inform the front desk that not only was the amenity never recieved they charged me for it twice. Front desk assured me it would be taken off, but as soon as I recieved the final bill both charges still had not been removed, so then I had to call the hotel and request the Front Desk manager to explain our experience. The Front Desk manager was not much more help, he informed that there was nothing he could do even tho I was calling the same day, he stated he would have the room service manager contact us by the next day but a week later and still no call. I would not recommend anyone waisting there time with this hotel.

The hotel was lovely as we drove up and the room was decent. The negatives were numerous. There was only one desk clerk at the front with a line of folks checking in. Had to ask for someone to assist us with our luggage. Went to take a bath. The tub would not drain. They sent people up immediately to fix the drain problem. Next day took a shower with water standing in the tub and not draining. The second day our key would not open our door. My husband had to go downstairs for them to give us new keys with no apology. There was a live roach in our bathroom. Tried to call the front desk at 11pm because children were romping on the lawn from a party. No one answered the phone at the front desk. Ice maker did not work on our floor. Staff was scarce. Would not stay there again. They dont have good customer service at all.
