I live close to only two dog parks. This one and the one off of 104th and Irma. I prefer this one because I like how there is a section for small dogs, not just one big area. I have a mini dachshund and shes pretty little to be running around with the big dogs. Im very paranoid that shell be attacked and probably killed by a larger dog so I stick with the small dog area. The only thing about the small dog section is there is NEVER any small dogs for her to meet so its usually just me and her. Its also not as well accommodated as the big dog section is. Small dogs are dogs too and the people here seem to always give me shtick for bringing her to the park. "THATS a dog?? WHAT IS THAT?? I thought it was a rat!" The people Ive run into here are kind of hoity-toity but its no big deal. Im not there for them lol. I take her so she can explore and get out of the house for bit and see something new and have her meet the occasional dog, if there ever is one in the small dog area. Ive taken her to the big dog section however, when there are just medium sized dogs. They all seem to want to bother her and dominate her, which isnt very fun for her and she ends up nipping at them in annoyance. There arent very many dog parks that have separate sections according to size so its discouraging that small dog owners arent utilizing this facility. I wish they could market and advertise it somehow to get some more people here. Dog parks for small dogs can be dangerous but you just need to keep a very close eye on your dog and be aware of the dogs around you. Also, the water hose in the big dog area is DISGUSTING. I never let my dog drink from it. I bring my own water. I dont think its cleaned that often. And for some reason someone brought in a baby pool that is always full of gross, green water. Other than the lack of small dogs, hoity-toitys that make fun of my dog, and the nasty water hose, it is a very nice dog park and I really like the location. Come bring your dogs!

Edited 3/2014: Water area now has drains under each spigot so there should not be as much standing water. Still muddy during and right after a rain/snow event. Otherwise a decent park with a lot of friendly people and dogs. Overall not bad and the people are friendly here. Fresh water available from a spigot and 2 plastic water buckets are provided but the area near the pump can get muddy. Walking track oval 1/8 mile lap. Avoid after a rain or snow melt or your dog will get muddy. Bags provided for pet waste disposal and a smaller area for timid dogs too! Always some toys left behind for others to play with including frisbees and balls.

Trailwinds dog park is right next to the huge sports park with acres of green lawns for sport activities and sport families. Unfortunately, because of the close proximity a lot of pet owners think that means they can walk their pets around the whole sports complex without a leash. As a runner, ive been chased multiple times by pets on the loose whose owners started at the dog park and let them run loose around the rest of the park. They need more signs to not let pets loose outside of the dog park.

Just a plot of dirt for dogs to run around in. The owners are responsible there and watch their dogs. I have not had any issues, and if a dog does act up, the owner corrects the behavior of their dog. Last I was there the water was blocked off. Bring water for your pet just in case.

There are some aggressive dogs that come to this park and the owners dont realize that their dog is being aggressive. There are also some intact dogs that come in that cause fights. If you understand how to read dogs its a great park just leave when those dogs come into the park.

Great dog park, and most of the times fill with fun and friendly dogs. Some dog owners bring in aggressive dogs like the gray dog "Princess" that comes in almost everyday and attacks any dog that comes near her toys. Other then that, its usually great people with great dogs.

My dog loves this park! You do have to be careful if your dog walks around the edges, however, because there are sometimes stickers. Its a great place with dogs that are typically very friendly and people who generally do a good job of paying attention to whats going on.

Its nice & clean however we left after 15 minutes because our dogs kept getting thorns in their paws. Who ever designed it did a terrible job. It should be all gravel. Very disappointed. We will continue going to the Northglenn dog park instead.

Nice people and dogs. I like that it is separated into a big dog and a little dog side. There are benches and covered areas for people. I wish it wasnt so muddy after a rain, though. There is some gravel, but some mud too.

Good place to take your dogs of all sizes. It does not have trees or anything special. There are benches and a shelter for shade. The crowd is pretty decent and the dogs have fun. There are also whistle pigs there too.
