Ive been going to this park for over 40 years! Though the playground equipment are all new, I remember when their use to be a curvy slide, and a long low hanging tree branch everyone would bounce on (and yes it wasnt safe but it was fun!) The park is in 2 sections divided by Warren Ave. Kids, the playground, and a picnic section on the north side and baseball/soccer fields on the other. This park was and still is a hidden gem in this DU neighborhood!

This place was so cool. It has lots of history inside and I really wish we would have had time to look through the telescope! This is for sure a place you need to visit when going to Denver. Also make sure to put a pin on the map inside of where youre from :)

Amazing park, sometimes they have open house events lectures and chances to use the telescope, there is lots of history. The park itself is great, plenty of space tennis courts garden, lots of playground stuff and many tables and benches.

Historic and well maintained observatory buildings. I wish the main one was opened when I visited the place. The park is clean and spacious; and the neighborhood looks pretty, fancy, and wealthy.

This is a nice little park with lots of shade, picnic tables, bathrooms, and a drinking fountain. It is set in a quaint and quiet neighborhood. It is a great place for kids.

Best observatory I have ever been to. The guide seemed knowledgeable on Astor tops. We got to see Jupiter and its moons at a 21 feet focal length... close as hell.

Beautiful park just east of Denver University. Quiet, tree lined streets, sand box for the kids, picnic tables. Not as crowded as Wash Park.

A huge telescope constructed in 1894. Come to their open house nights, lots of enthusiasts on the lawn looking at interesting stuff.

A nice little park to run around in. We were able to take the dog off the leash since it is not crowded there.
