I will NEVER return to Celebrity Lanes, and you can blame their manager James for that. I went a few months ago with a huge group of friends. We rented out one of the suites in the back, ordered food and drinks (mind you, they didnt ID a single person and only took my ID once I insisted they check), and spent quite a bit of money in total. Some friends on my lane brought in an outside beverage (which the staff said was acceptable), and we were accused of providing them with alcohol simply because we were on the lane with them. Rather than introduce himself and explain his concern of underage drinking, James just barged into our lane and told us we had to leave immediately. If youre so concerned with underage drinking, you probably shouldnt let people bring in outside drinks. Just a thought. Then James assaulted my boyfriend and told the two of us, and I quote, "F*** the two of you, and you two get the f*** out of here. If you ever come back, well have some fun" when we asked to see a manager on the way out. Professional, huh? I love when I pay money to have a MANAGER assault my boyfriend and threaten us... He threatened to call the cops, which we agreed to seeing as we had done nothing wrong (and after we told James to review the film if he thought we contributed to minors), and they never showed. Then, when another employee tried to help me, he yelled at her, "Get back to work and mind your own business." Then James wouldnt refund the $30 I had just spend on shoes and lanes. Not only does he treat paying customers like s***, but his employees as well. And this was a while ago, so Im SO glad to see that hes still employed and is STILL treating customers with such horrible service. If I ever treated customers in such a way at my work, Id be fired on the spot. No questions asked. Id like to see the same respect for customers at Celebrity Lanes.

We live nearby, and I happen to love bowling, so my family visits this place often. Celebrity is a mixed bag. The bar, Jacksons, is spacious and the food is better than most alleys. Food and drink prices are commensurate with the slightly more upscale offerings. The lanes themselves arent great. Theyre usually heavily oiled and the setup feels irregular - I cant seem to get a rhythm going from frame to frame. In the mornings, the house lights are on, but they switch to just accent lighting in the afternoon, which makes counting boards nearly impossible. That said, my kids still really enjoy coming out to the lane, as the environment is tailored to their liking (music, lights, food and the video arcade). Its a good place for a game or two and some drinks, but the noise levels and ambiance becomes trying after that point. My real pain point is with the prices and lane availability. Most of the staff are teenage drones, who cant be held liable for being helpless because theyre following the "rules". Tough enough to swallow the nearly $30/hour prices (we bring our own shoes, so YMMV), but there are times when theres a considerable wait despite several idle lanes. At the end of the day, I would say that this is an acceptable option if you live in the area, but dont make a trip just to try out this alley.

My husband and I like to go over in the day time when the kids are in school. The waiters and waitresses are always very nice and prompt. I read other reviews about the ball return chewing up the balls, that might be true, my husband had a problem when they first opened and we thought it was due to the ball return. They do break down a lot but the staff always adds on time if you need it to make up for the break down. Ive been to a couple of friends partys in the party rooms, they are really nice and I will probably have one for my clients there some day. My only complaint is that when we do go when kids are out of school they almost always put us next to people with little kids that like to hang out on their lane, jump around, climb on the ball return all of which is fine if you have kids but its not fine for people who are actually trying to improve their own bowling. It cant be that hard to have lanes where they put people with kids and others for us old folks. Ive mentioned this several times to the young people working at the front desk but should mention it to a manager or the owner.

I read a review here where someone had a problem with James. Well, this kid is a twit, and he will DESTROY this business if they let him! We went last night, and after driving a half hour to get there, he took glee in pointing out that our Groupon had expired A HALF HOUR EARLIER!!! Seriously! Im semi-retired and have a part-time job purely for fun. I work for a well-known retailer that looks at every situation and ensures the customer is taken care of, no matter the cost. This James kid never got the memo. They seem to have it in there head they are the only alley in the south end of town, but Brunswick is wonderful! Which is where Ill be from now on. The only other time we went there, it was 45 minutes before we got anyone to come and take our food and drink order. It was laughable. This place CLEARLY has no clue what they are doing or why they are in business. They presently think its simply to rake in peoples money. In the near future, within the next year Id say, theyre going to find out what really happens when you crap on customers.

I have been to these lanes a few times and one thing about them is fairly clear. Most bowling centers are run by people that bowl or at least enjoy bowling. This place is run by someone that likes money. The owner has clearly hired people based on how little they can pay them and runs the lanes based on how much money they can make. They are more than happy to close early, they love to pack everyone on one side of the house so they can shut down the other, and there ball returns leave some heinous scars. I go after 9 pm for there 1$ games and have discovered that now this is there night club/bar time. I dont really mind loud music and black lights and such but when I cant see the arrows on the lane, it is to dark. Honestly, Arapahoe lanes does 1$ games after 9 and they serve beer and food if you want. I wouldnt really recommend Celerity Lanes unless you are looking for more of a night club than a bowling ally.

Will never go here again. I took residents I had here for bowling. It was lunch time and no one was there. The blond lady at the counter asks is that a lunch container. Yup our residents all have special diets (some need liquid consistency or ground up food or no salt or no sugar... etc) nope they cant eat that here. Okay so I had to ask what our options were (none were offered) "theres a patio" okay... can we use it. "Yes are you going to clean up the mess". She was very rude so we just went to another bowling alley. I get it if you have rules, we have gone before with lunch and no one said anything. If you do have rules at least try and accommodate your guests dont act like you dont want them there OR THEYLL GO!!!!!!! And I would have given it zero stars but it wouldnt let me.
