My wife and I could not have selected a better venue for our wedding. Before I talk more about DCVR, it must be noted that this review is LONG overdue. Our wedding was last October, the 4th to be exact. The change in season made the venue more visually spectacular than we could have imagined---if youre from Colorado, you know exactly what we mean!! We were very excited with the different options available to us to give ourselves the wedding of our dreams: indoors or outside for the ceremony? If outside, travel the beautiful unpaved road past the covered bridge and crazy awesome old tree to a wonderful secluded setting where all around you is nothing but beautiful Colorado nature---including a breathtaking look at Mt. Evans! Still outside, you can select an amazing wedding setting upon a gorgeous deck attached to a vintage gazebo that overlooks a naturally filled pond!! Oh, and the pond has its own island! Still outside is empty area to imagine your own setting and let your imagination run wild (like to horses that roam the grounds)! Inside also has great potential for a most amazing wedding. The rustic mountain barn is what you would expect from a small town in Colorado! The inside is actually more amazing than the outside---the attention to detail is quite remarkable. Once you get to meet Christian and Tim, you will be educated on the history of the location and barn, and I bet you will be quite amazed. Although what many would call "young" or "new" to the wedding & event venue scene, once you meet Christian, you would have believed shed been around this business for decades. The professionalism, the enthusiasm to see utter joy and delight in both the Brides and Grooms faces (but especially the Bride), the genuine commitment to offer you the wedding of your dreams and the dedication to see it through!! Christian will make you feel like family from the first minute you meet, and you will find yourself unexpectedly feeling like you belong there (and you do). Christian and Tim will share with you what their wedding meant to them, and you will be convinced that its their passion to give others the opportunity to enjoy the same magic, the same joy, the same laughter, the same fun, the same everlasting love. Now, stop reading and let your intrigue and excitement take you over to DCVR and meet the amazing Marasciullo family, you will be just as happy you did as we were...and are!!

Deer Creek Valley Ranch is a beautiful, charming and unique venue but not worth the hassle. We found the owners, their assistant and the way they run their business unprofessional and would not recommend having a wedding here. We dealt with constantly changing policies, drastic discrepancies in pricing between the assistant and the owners, finger pointing and gossip about other vendors. We didnt trust Deer Creek Valley Ranch to follow through with their promises and were on edge for months leading up to our wedding about what would pop up next. We would cringe every time we saw an email from them. The bride, bridesmaids and 20 month old ring bearer were LOCKED IN THE BRIDAL SUITE (twice!) just minutes before the ceremony began. The owners and their assistant were “unable to help” so a family member had to climb through a second story window to get us out (TWO TIMES!). Afterword we were told that the door was not broken before our party arrived, suggesting that we broke their (very old) door. We were blamed for damage done to the curtains as we were trying to escape the room. (FYI, we noticed the curtains were torn at our first visit to the ranch months before.) If you choose to get married here, be ready to pay their assistant extra money to do her job at Deer Creek Valley Ranch. They require a Day of Coordinator and it just so happens that the assistant is a “professional” wedding planner. You will be paying her for doing things she should be doing as the assistant to the venue including driving to and from the venue even though she has to be there already. In addition you will have to find and pay for extra insurance for all kinds of things that they appear not to cover. Again, Deer Creek Valley Ranch is a stunning venue and our wedding was beautiful but I would not recommend getting married here if you would like to have a hassle and stress free engagement/wedding or any peace of mind what-so-ever.

Nice views, rustic atmosphere, small venue, and strange owners. The place is nice and the views are great. The "ceremony" area is down a dirt road about a mile and is not bad. The barn for "reception" is well renovated to be a good place for a SMALL party, 40-60 people max if you dont want guests excluded to the upstairs. They only seem to work with one liquor company and caterer since the company names are painted on parking spots out front. The downstairs "man cave" is nice but they tell potential clients that its a good place for kids to hang out, but in practice dont want kids down there playing the games. The owners do not like kids, dont want kids running around, and offer nothing for kids at this venue. The owners also offer no trash service so expect to pack out all your trash. If you are having a small wedding with no kids, and want to be done early its an ok spot, but I wouldnt recommend it.

My daughter had a wedding at Deer Creek Valley Ranch a few weeks ago in July. Things could not have turned out more beautifully. Christian and Lindsey were very friendly and easy to talk with. We never felt rushed when having conversations or when touring. Yes, it would be nice if there were more options for vendors to make things more affordable (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). On the other hand, things ran so smoothly that there may be an advantage to using vendors who know the facility well. Competition is always good though! Our 140-150 guests had a wonderful time and danced until the DJ stopped playing music! No complaints from anyone sitting upstairs for dinner. This was such an amazing setting and especially nice for so many out of state guests. Gods country! Only regret is Id like to do it all over and take in much more of this very blessed event. Thanks for such wonderful memories.

We were married at Deer Creek Valley Ranch in the fall of 2012. The venue was absolutely stunning with the fall colors. The venue was perfect for an intimate, mountain wedding. The owners were very thorough in the planning and communication that took place leading up to the wedding day. They are also very accomodating and have a lot of useful tips and information to help couples select vendors for their big day. We were so happy with how our wedding turned out and we both felt this was the perfect venue for our fall wedding in the mountains. Our guests had so many wonderful things to say about the venue too! We would highly recommend DCVR to others!

My mother and I had the opportunity to view this property and OMGosh we were so blown away! The details inside the barn were absolutely amazing! You can tell a lot of love and care went into every piece of furniture and wall decor from the horse saddle seats at the bar to the lovely bridle suite. The man cave was especially fun and perfect for men of all ages. We cannot wait to return. Meanwhile I wanted to highly recommend the kindness of the staff for giving us the grand tour of the property. Thank you, Danna PS ... The romantic backdrop is priceless!
