My fiancé and I fell in love with the Wild Basin facility and were very excited to hold our wedding and reception their. The owner was extremely hospitable PRIOR to contract signing, promising us an extended Classic menu options list. This extended menu list was a deal breaker for us as the representative menu in their brochure was very limited and we specifically asked the owner if there were additional options to choose from at the Classic rate for which we would be booking. She stated that she did indeed have an extended menu at the Classic rate available to us. Based on this promise, we were ready to sign the contract. When we called Wild Basin in order to contract with them, we reiterated that the contract was contingent upon this extended menu being provided with our contract. We were assured that the extended menu would accompany our “event plan” via email immediately AFTER we signed the contract and gave her the deposit. We signed the contract in good faith and gave Wild Basin our deposit. We were then emailed back the signed contract to us WITHOUT the extended menu after our payment/deposit was processed. We emailed Wild Basin to let them know that the extended menu was not included with the email response and “event plan” as promised. After multiple email exchanges they admitted that they had not been "clear". We contacted the owner and again requested the extended Classic menu options. She informed us that she would have to go through years of menus to provide us this extended menu and that it could take weeks for her to come up with one. She also suggested that we think about what we order when we go out to eat and present it to her. The owner’s response indicated that this extended Classic Menu which had been promised to us appeared to be nonexistent. It also illustrates that she may be very resistant to accommodating clients. We were surprised by an email from her the next day in which she made sure to tell us that she had to come in hours early in order to provide us with a menu and attached it in the email. The tone of her email left us very discouraged. The attached menu contained items that we recalled seeing on the ENHANCED menu/contract rate and which would cost us additional money. I emailed her and asked her if the items on the menu were ALL Classic menu options as agreed, to which she replied no. At that point, and within 48 hours of contract signing, we decided enough was enough, and cancelled the invalid contract with her as it was not a contract under state law due to the above (and below) mistakes and misunderstandings. Additionally, the brochure she handed us prior to contract signing included a photo of the upstairs “Copeland Room” with round wood tables, and a descriptive statement above the photo which read, ”Upstairs in the Copeland Room, elegant wooden tables and magnificent views highlight another reception area at the lodge.” The Copeland Room was the room we were booking for our reception. When we spoke with the owner about how excited we were about these beautiful round tables, she informed us that it would be $500 extra for the use of these tables. This despite the round tables being clearly depicted both in photo and description as native to the Copeland Room. Wedding planning is already a stressful time for any couple, and we were very disheartened by the behavior of this establishment. We are now forced to pursue every available option in order to recoup our losses.

My husband and I had our wedding at Wild Basin on March 26th, 2016. To be honest, I found Wild Basins website about a year before my now husband proposed. As soon as he did, we toured Wild Basin and without hesitation we signed our contract with them! My husband and I felt no need to explore other places, we knew we found our dream wedding venue as soon as we parked. From the beginning, Wild Basin was extremely helpful and patient with answering all of my questions, believe me, there were many! What I really loved was the timeline they give you with the list of due dates, and it allowed me to really plan my wedding effectively. It was like I already had a pre-made to-do list ready to go! Our food tasting was fantastic, we were able to try a lot of options and we had amazing food at our wedding. Many guests commented on how great the food was. Wild Basin even honored a previous offer that we had seen before they updated their 2016 packages, so we were able to get an appetizer we had originally wanted at no extra cost. I cant speak enough to how great the staff was on our wedding day. We were able to bring in all of our decorations the night before (of course, they didnt have a wedding scheduled). Which helped us immensely on the wedding day. My bridal room was incredible. All of my bridesmaids and I had plenty of room to run around, as did my flower girl, and my parents. The staff was constantly checking in on us, and making sure we had a consistent flow of mimosas going. The ceremony was incredible. The riverside site was not what we had originally planned, but due to the amount of snow that had fallen, we moved a closer to the lodge. With that, the riverside site is equally as beautiful as the meadow. All of our guests were able to see clearly due to the tiered seating. And, the snowfall really made our wedding even more beautiful. Our photos are sprinkled with snowflakes which really made our red color scheme pop! Throughout the evening, the staff continued to amaze both me and our guests. The bartender was kept very busy with my family and did an incredible job. Overall, we are so pleased with Wild Basin. The owners do a fantastic job and really work hard to give you the wedding of your dreams. Our winter wedding was everything we could have hoped for and more. We wouldnt have had our wedding any other way or during any other season. A winter wedding was certainly our dream, and Wild Basin made it come true! They are worth every penny--and trust me, they are much more reasonably priced than other mountain venues. We cant wait to go back and share our one year anniversary with the wonderful people at Wild Basin--and in one of the most beautiful places in Colorado.

My husband and I got married at Wild Basin in June 2012, and it was truly the best day of our lives. We had the rehearsal dinner and the wedding and wedding reception at the lodge. I simply cannot say enough great things about Wild Basin Lodge and especially the staff, they were wonderful! Dana and Tiffnie were amazing on the wedding day, seeing to every detail and making sure everything ran smoothly. We all felt so welcome and special! Everyone was so sweet and accommodating but also very professional. I sent so many emails with questions and concerns, and they were answered promptly and thoroughly each time (thanks, Dana, Tiffnie, Hillary, and Denice!). Every detail was thought of and reviewed with us, and they were very organized down to the last detail. The chef is so talented, the food was amazing and we received lots of compliments on the dinner and the rehearsal dinner the night before. The bartender, Adrian, was also very polite and great to work with. We had a lot of compliments from our guests on how friendly and capable the staff was. I felt like the whole wedding weekend could not have gone any better or more smoothly, we concentrated on our vows and having a great time with our families and friends and did not have to worry about the details of the day. The lodge is so beautiful, and we had our ceremony down at the riverside amphitheater. My family and I stayed in the lodge rooms and honeymoon suite Friday and Saturday night, and the views were fantastic! You can hear the river from your room, and it is so peaceful to wake up to in the morning. The lodge was also very pretty and clean and the staff was very welcoming and helpful to us. It has a cozy mountain feel and lots of beautiful natural wood. I would love to stay here again! Overall, we were so impressed from our very first meeting with Dana and the staff at Wild Basin Lodge. They seem to really love what they do and enjoy working with couples and people in general. They go out of their way to make sure your event is special and personal, and they pay attention to all of the tiniest details. They are also professional, and we felt like we were in capable hands at all times. I felt completely comfortable and trusted the staff at Wild Basin Lodge with our wedding day, and they could not have done a better job! We spent the day enjoying being with each other and family and friends and had no worries the whole time. It was absolutely wonderful- thank you so much everyone! I highly recommend Wild Basin Lodge for your wedding or special event! Thank you, Laurie and Matt
