A lot of wineries talk you up and try to sell you on their product. Testa is different. This is a small, family owned winery with true Italian roots and a lovely authentic feel. For their member pick up party, family members demonstrated how to make gnocchi, then served it with four family recipe sauces. I held my husbands 60th birthday party there and it was a lovely, low key party with the occasional winery visitor joining in the party much to our delight. Despite feeling under the weather, we all had a great time and Testa made the experience intimate and easy. The wines are honest and great value. Go visit and enjoy.

After spending two days at the Testa Ranch & Vineyards, all I want to do is go back! Maria Martinson, along with her husband, Rusty, welcomed me into their home and lives. For 102 years, the Testa Ranch has sat in the sun here in Capella, near Ukiah, soaking up the sun and rain. With love, they create their wines and friends come from miles around to experience the tradition. The guest house, originally built in 1927, is a lovely getaway for weddings or just a peaceful stay overlooking the vineyards and pond. Go and experience a real family tradition with folks as real as the day is long.
