We attended a wedding here last weekend and it was beautiful. It was such a bit day but the ceremony location was tucked away on the side with so much tree shade that it felt 10°cooler. The outdoor sites do not lend to accessibility but the staff are so on top of it. They have a smart car to transport down the hill as well as ramps for the stairs. JJ was super attentive and let us know what they had available. Call ahead if you have mobility issues and they will take care of you! The reception was on a grassy area with long tables (so much better than the standard round). By the time we sat down for dinner the sun was shaded by the cliffs above. We did not see the indoor accommodations but I can assume that they are lovely. The catering was lovely too. They had some kind of stone oven, I think and BBQ. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Came here for a wedding recently, and I have to say that it is a very beautiful venue. For those that have never been the most difficult part to coming here is the parking. Dont get me wrong, there are plenty of parking, but much of it is on the side of the road where cars are zooming by at 50+ mph. So be careful. Once youre parked, you take a long staircase down into the canyon/venue. The patio/amphitheater area opens up, and depending on the time of day will be shaded by trees. The reception area that was used was in direct sunlight with no shade. This made it a little uncomfortable for me as I dont like being hot. Other than that this venue is very nice for weddings.

My daughter Erin and my son-in-law Jon had their wedding ceremony and reception at the 1909 on May 21, 2016. Amir and his staff, all of which were very accommodating, were major contributors to the events success. For those looking for a venue desiring beauty in a very natural setting vs. a standard wedding venue such as a hotel, winery, or for that matter a beach wedding, dont overlook the 1909. The property offers different entertainment areas from the amphitheater where there ceremony took place, to the meadow for the dinner reception, followed by the interior space for dancing, all of which our guests greatly enjoyed.

Think Ojai minus the drive.. charming venue set beneath a hillside. Seniors or people with trouble walking will need assistance down the driveway but overall it this place is beautiful. Gets direct sunlight during the day so be sure to stay cool if youre there for a wedding.

I cant express how much this venue and the people who own it are so helpful, so professional, and above all just a joy to have had to call this place our wedding venue. Google needs ten stars so I can give it a perfect ten! A beautiful spot to share on your day! Loved it!

Lovely wedding venue. We only used the inside because of the crazy storm the day of my sister-in-laws wedding, but from what we could tell, the outside would also be gorgeous for a summer or fall wedding.
