Jazz every single night! Usually 2 sets a night too. Reasonably priced drinks but this is their only source of income as they serve no food. They also do not allow outside food, so definitely grab a bite before coming. The service by the bar staff was efficient with little socializing due to the band playing. Drink wait was not long either and tables are cleared off empty glasses often. This place is cash only too with an ATM tucked away in the back with a fee. The bands play for tips, which is fine, but would be more comfortable if they didnt need to solicit tips and walk around with a basket often as it was evident that the venue didnt pay them. Good cozy spot if youre able to get a table, so show up early!

Upper Haight might be known for a lot of things but pizza science is probably not one of them. However, Club Deluxe is a magical place where a knife fishing Italian man has come to work and what he brought with him is pure magic, or science, or whatever it is it is good pizza. In the cozy dimly lit two-room bar at Club Deluxe, lucky Upper Haighters are sipping freshly squeezed cucumber cocktails, listening to live jazz and eating Neapolitan pizza made by a man who has a magic oven and a background in pizza science.

Despite the name, which sort of sounds like a strip club or bad night club, this little jazz bar is AWESOME. There is a bar with a separate dining room where up to 4-5 musicians play. It felt like we were in New Orleans. All the musician are talented, not a single rookie on the stage. The music was delightful and their flatbread pizza is to die for. While we were there we saw someone order 2 in one sitting. The dishes are great, the music is great, the atmosphere is great.

Unfortunately the only good thing I can say is its a nice room. However, on a recent Saturday visit we were rather surprised that there was only one bartender and it was obvious that he wasnt happy about it either. When will businesses learn that presentation is important as soon as you get in the door. You always want to leave a lasting impression and unfortunately due to rude abrupt bartender, this Canadian wont seek out this place next time visiting the area.

Great jazz and the best pizza Ive found yet in SF. Odd combination, but it works! Update: Just had their Don Giovanni (chefs choice) pizza last night and it was amazing. Maybe the best pizza Ive ever had. It had mozzarella and tomato sauce (obviously), thinly sliced squash, cooked red peppers (to the point that they were soft, like tomatoes), garlic cloves, basil, parmesan shavings, and feta. Holy cow...

The Deluxe Club is keeping the intimate music/performance eatery alive. They serve up hot delicious pizza and drinks with a side of jumpin Jazz, Blues, singer/songwriter -- even burlesque performances. Reasonably priced as well. The friendly attentive staff is a plus. If youre looking for a no fuss no muss outing this is the place to check out. Ive even had the pleasure of playing there with a blues band.

Ive been to Club Deluxe ~5 times now, on different nights of the week, and every time Ive been theres been quality live music. But the live music at Deluxe is unique -- its unpretentious and a little gritty. The pizza is also delicious (hooray for a vegan option!). The drinks are not the reason to go here (nothing particularly special), but the ambiance, music, and food make it 100% worth your time!

If you’re looking for a good bar to escape San Francisco’s Indian Summer, look no further than Club Deluxe in the Haight. This fantastic bar features live music, Neapolitan pizza, and amazing cocktails. I’m particularly fond of their take on the Tom Collins (dubbed the Spa Collins), which includes ingredients such as ginger and cucumber to keep yourself cool when the Indian Summer hits.

Get the Jax pizza: ricotta and meatballs is never a bad choice. I love this place because the pizza is dope and they have live music (mostly jazz) every night. Gotta keep going to live music restaurants and bars so that more would open. SF has so many great musicians; this is one of the few great neighborhood spots for them to perform.

I dont think I was being rude, but these are the responses I got from the bartenders while the bar was not full. - "Shell attend to you to the right." Then I waited for cash to get counted while the first bartender helped someone who walked up. - "I cant make that, can you order something simpler?" when I ordered a Last Word.

This place has a great atmosphere and every time I go there, a have lots of fun! They have a delicious pizza and their signature drink is one of my favorites in The City, dont hesitate to ask for it. Its a good place for groups, but its nice to go for a date, if you both like jazz bands ;)

This place is awesome. Good atmosphere, great pizza, and great live shows. Whenever we are bored we head down to the Deluxe and there is usually something fun going on. The Spa Collins is delicious just make sure it is stiff otherwise the flavors do not blend as well.

One of the best pizzas in the city, with live music/shows everynight. All this in a very peculiar, intimate and authentic environment (its a bar, not restaurant). Definitely a true san francisco bar. Ah, and great cocktails too. Open til late everynight.

A tiny night club from another era, this bar features a chrome metal door that transports you to a jazzy night club where the bartenders sling strong drinks and a band, or make-shift burlesque show, is taking the stage barely large enough to hold them.

This is a neighbourhood secret in the haight. The live jazz is excellent, the venue cozy and welcoming, the mohitos legendary, and the pizza quite tasty. This is usually the place I take visiting friends who are looking for a relaxing bar outing.

Love, love, love this bar. They have delightful live music and cheap cocktails and it definitely is one of my favorite places to stop by in the Haight. I wish they published their music lineup somewhere online though.

The talent here is ridiculous. Went on a Monday night and it was glorious covers of all top artists and classic songs. Regular bar, noting to write home about. Everyone was there for the musicians. Great date spot.

Great atmosphere, great music, the bartenders are nice, its a must for music lovers, but have dinner before you come here, they close the kitchen early and no, youre not allowed to bring your own food.

Classic vintage-feeling bar with a mixed crowd. Music can be great or less-than-great, depending on the night and on your taste. The place gets pretty crowded so getting a seat is sometimes difficult.

Great bar, excellent music several nights a week (red hot skillet lickers are old standby but theyre all good). Plus is the crowd - diverse, fun, excellent attitude. Some people here can really dance.

The place had really great musicians. There was no seating available for a long time, when we rose triumphant above other consumers for a table they closed the kitchen on us. Total disappointment!
