Its a nice bowling alley but my only complaint is that they seriously need to clean the lines out once in awhile on the beverage guns behind the bar that they make mixed drinks with and dispense soda from. The Coca-Cola has a taste like laundry that has been left in the washing machine for 2 or 3 days before it has been put in the dryer. My suggestion, either drink your liquor straight up or drink bottled beer or buy your sodas from the vending machine. Since my last review, the bowling center has not only responded back to me regarding this issue, thank you, but they have also corrected the problem. I was there last night and the Coke or Pepsi tastes great. I can now revise my review to 5 stars for Bell Mateo Bowl. Thanks again Bell Mateo.

I went here for my friends birthday party. At first we were really excited. After a while we were getting bored, theres not much to do there. So instead of bowling we started playing around and goofing off. We were just kids. I guess we were being a little too loud because the manager came out and stared yelling at us. She threatened to kick us out. The manager wasnt polite at all, she was very rude. About 5 mins later she came back and just stated going ballistic. She was waving here hands around telling us to get out. We were pretty confused because we werent even being that loud. While we were all walking out of the door she told us we were ban from that stupid place. Oh well, she was pretty ugly anyway.

Best place to bowl! Wether in League or just as a Guest. Awesome atmosphere for kids, youngsters, to celebrate birthdays. Adults can also reserve lanes for parties of any occasion. There is a full bar. ( Please be 21! ) Food can be purchased at the Snack Bar at reasonable prices. Friendly, knowledgeable staff are always helpful with any questions visitors may have. Top of the line system connected to TV Screens, as well as desktop reach Laptop size displays on all 24 lanes, to inform and entertain the crowds! Newly remodeled BelMateo Bowl carries a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Greatly recommend .....if you like F U N ! M.

This one lady who looks like miss piggy and shes rude. Very rude. Terrible service. Over priced. Poor music. Bad wait. atrocious food and overall a horrendous experience. When I say miss piggy was rude Im not exaggerating she was a b word. I thought I lived in a better area. This establishment contradicts all pride I had in the Bay Area. I once found bowling to be a great form of entertainment but now I dont know if Ill be able to enjoy it again. I feel if I were to bowl I would be triggered by the awful experience and environment that was given to me by bel Mateo bowl. Rip my standards

Great place to bowl especially with kids. They love the "computers" set up and playing around with the customization. The funny animations displayed after you take your turn are also a plus. As of a few years before this review, they offered tours of behind the pin machines which is unbelievably exciting for kids (not sure if they still do, but Id assume so). The reason I only gave 4/5 was the low food quality. We always bowl and then go eat at the molly stones across the street.

Awful experience! I went with a group of 5. We were having a great time until a staff member came up to us and spoke with very rude language. I had no idea what we had done and was very confused. The owner came however refused to tell us what we did wrong. Bowling place is pretty nice itself, but the staff and people just ruin the experience!!!!Please do not go!!!

It was absolute BS. The staff were so unfriendly and they only appreciate lame old people coming in and being perfect customers. My friend had his 14th birthday party there, and they just kicked us out for messing around. They expect teenagers to be mature 40 year olds. Worst bowling place ever... and, the bowling experience was terrible in general.

Everything about this place was awesome, except that they closed the bar down so early with NO notice! We would have stayed all night until close, but ended up leaving early. It would be really nice if they could at least send an announcement over the PA saying it is last call.

Rates on weekend nights are $54/hour for the first hour, somewhat high. There are 24 lanes total and it is often crowded. The facility is in need of maintenance, and many pinspotters are jammed. Staff are inconsistent in their service, and often can come off as rude.

It was full when we reached. There was some party going on. We had to wait about 15 minutes to get lanes. We played air-hockey in their arcade till then. Overall its a very well organized and well maintained place. The bowling score screen is very good too.

Reserved a lane, came with 5 friends. Really fun time. Balls are clean, shoes dont smell, machines are updated, even connects to fb, so theyre on their game. Parking does fill up in the lot, but plenty on the side and on the streets at night.

If you want to bowl, this is the place! What makes this place awesome though is their bar. Theyve installed new e-dart machines and its fun! All the staff is incredibly nice and courteous so it makes the experience even better.

I was here for a charity event through my company. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Parking lot is a little small, so you may end up parking on the street. Otherwise, great friendly neighborhood bowling alley.

Plenty of bowling lanes are almost all occupied when we visit in a Thursday afternoon. Well lit lanes, bright LCD monitors, quick scoring. A great arena for team building or hanging out with families and friends.

Another old-school bowling alley trying to hang on. Was there for a business function, and they served sliders, burgers, and other finger foods. Ironically no food or drinks are allowed in the bowling area.

Decent bowling. Score screens are easy enough to use, plenty of goofy animations. Never really ordered any food. Staff are helpful. Deals every night mean you can bowl for cheap if you plan ahead.

Great bowling alley. Cheaper than some bowling alleys around. Looks nice with high tech scoring screens, allowing bowlers to customize everything. Wait can sometimes be long so make a reservation.

great bowling alley. actually cheaper than 2 bowling alleys that I have been to in san jose. great staff. The only type of people that complain are the people that dont know the rules of bowling.

Family-oriented. Older facility but clean. There is a video game arcade that pretty much sucks quarters from your pockets. The food is nothing to write home about, but they do have beer and wine.

This is probably the best Indian food Ive had in a LONG time. This review is for the lunch buffet and it was extremely good. Overall, the experience was a good one. Nice, decor, friendly staff.

Went here earlier today as I was passing by. A neat little 24 lane bowling center with an extremely friendly staff. If I ever find myself nearby, I will definitely be returning.
