The birthday party started with a nightmare due to manager/ owner not keeping with his words. He was unprofessional and rude. While other staffs were friendly, the person who was in charge of the place lacked complete manner and respect for the customer. Basically, we decided to have my 2 boys parties there. The night before he gives me a call and tells me that he would move us to the "glow room" which was a better room. He probably needed the other room for a bigger party, so we complied. We then bought extra glow Sticks and bands to enjoy the room we were going to be in. The day of the party we settled into the glow room. the manager then comes in and asks us to move to the regular room. this is after a couple of guest have already arrived. He states that the original room was now available.... Now, we tell him that he already promised us, but he told he could not put us there because we did not pay for it. We were a bit unhappy, and told him that he shouldnt renege on his upgrade promise.....Well we already had guest and our kids thought we had a glow party, so we paid up. He reminded us that he already did us a favor for not charging extra for having our 2 boys party at the same time. very RUDE. He should not have said something if he was not going to make it happen. I should have read the reviews of this place before I spent so much money.

The "new" Nickel City located on Miramar Road is outstanding. We enjoyed the previous location in Carmel Mountain, but the new location is much better. They have an expanded lounge complete with large bathrooms in the lobby (compared to a dark corner in the back at the old location), low walls to allow parents a complete view of the gaming floor and a more secure enter/exit location. They now have a full snack bar that serves drinks, candy, pretzels, popcorn, pizza, fries, nachos and more. Nickel City is family owned and operated and it is a joy to be with them while we are here. My favorite part is the free wifi; I can work on things I need to get done while allowing the kids a supervised time playing games, having fun and enjoying themselves. With admission being only $2.00 per person (those playing games) and games starting at one nickel, my children usually each go through a $5 bag of nickels in about an 1 1/2 hours. Fun, safe and reasonably priced.

Made a long trip here for the nostalgia of playing at the nickel arcade when I was a kid. When we got there, we found out there was a $2.50 per person charge for entering which I was ok with paying because I know they have to cover the cost of allowing people to play games for only a nickel. I was very wrong assuming that the cover charge would subsidize the low nickel charge per game. I found many games to be 20 nickels or more. Not only were games the same amount of money or more per play than any other arcade, they also charge money to go inside. I explained the confusion to the manager and she decided to refund my money since we left without even playing anything. It seemed a little funny to me that this arcade was almost empty when we entered with only one kid and one adult inside. Im guessing everyone else already knew about the misleading business name.

Terrible experience overall. When I came in with my friends I was welcomed with a foul odor and an unfriendly staff. Most of them did not know what they were doing and were not experienced. The machines in the arcade were often jammed or broken, and it took the staff large amounts of time to fix such problems. Food was also an issue. It was extremely lousy and overpriced. There was also another man who bothered me the most. As I requested help, he rolled his eyes and provided sarcastic language, which quite bothered me. You may think I am trying to put their business down, or Im blinded by hatred, but no. I am only speaking the truth of my terrible experience at Nickel City!

Really fun experience for all the kids. We planned our sons birthday party here. The party hall is very clean and tidy. Kids got 100 coins to start with, which were more than enough. Bowling was real good touch for a change. Bowling is about half the size in length and lighter balls. Kids were all ~5 yrs old and it was good fun for them. Place is a lot cleaner than Chuck E Cheese and games also give upscale feel. It is a lot bigger play area and kept very clean by the owner. Hosts were also very helpful and friendly. Overall it was a great experience for all the kids and parents. My suggestion for the owner will be to increase options for Vegetarian food.

We love this place! My kids have a great time, completely safe, we sit and talk near the door and the kids are playing happily. We have brought our camp program on many occasions, they all love it! The tickets system is great! Really adds a super fun element for the kids. The place is so clean and new. Its large and full of games, all kinds of games, even has a small bowling alley. Around the bend is a hard to see (when you just walk in) area with so many more games. Also they have really nice party rooms! All in all a great place for kids and family that is really inexpensive/affordable.

Aww man this place is 100x better than chuckle cheese. You get more tickets and the machines are stingy with jackpots. So you and the little ones are the happiest people when leaving, especially since the prizes are actual prizes- not the spinning thing from Chuck e cheese. Theres no child check though so keep an eye on the little ones. Also, for adults there old school Pac man from like the 80s. Overall this place is worth the extra drive if your more South, because the prizes are cool and jackpots are often.

GREAT!! My grandkids loved the old place...but this is even better. Fun games for every age..weve been three times since they opened.... they are getting the kinks out of some of the games..I think from the move...but its a place for all ages. The pizza is a real surprise..all homemade and delicious. Used to take to kids to other places that cost a quarter..not much fun for the money....but this place is clean the kids and (even me) will be back soon. Judy Wilson : )

My cousins son had a birthday party here. I used to go to Nickel City when I was a kid and it was located in Caramel Mountain. Now it moved to Miramar and its in a much bigger location. Back then it was only an arcade. Now its a huge arcade with two private party rooms you can reserve. They also serve food here now and theres a little dining/sitting area. I like the updated version. My son had a blast here!

I like the easy to use cards. Its $2.75 a person for entry. They still have approximately 15 games that you can use nickles. They also have a huge dinning area to eat their food. They have reasonably priced packages for entry, tokens, and food. They have pizza, soda, cotton candy, and more. I had a great time with my 2 kids. They have ticket prizes as well.
