Words can’t describe how amazing CMRCC’s team was for our wedding, but I’m going to give it my very best. Long story short, if I could plan our wedding all over again we would go with CMRCC 100% and recommend it to everyone we know! Food: most common comment from guests “that was the best wedding food that I have ever had in my life, and that includes my own wedding!” We had a beef, salmon, and mushroom entrée with the shrimp and tomato hors devours. The chef snuck our sweet heart table extra entrees and the staff made sure to bring out the hors devours to me while I was taking photos. Perfect rating on both food, service, and value. We had an open bar, which many of our guests commented was extremely generous with their pours. Ceremony Area: It is stunning with a lovely gazebo. Everything was set up for us so we didn’t have to lift a finger. Reception Area: even more stunning than the ceremony, the reception room floods with gorgeous lights, huge windows, and perfectly placed chandeliers. It’s so gorgeous, that no décor is needed at all. It seated our 100 guests comfortably with a dance floor in the middle. Coordination: Nicole Manalo is the QUEEN of event planning. Before the wedding day she kept my entire vendor team on the same page and emailed me all the time to keep me on task. Any time I needed a second opinion, she was there. She event coordinated everything while having a baby! How amazingly dedicated can someone be! We eventually hired her to be our day of coordination and she had the timeline under wraps and corralled everyone very well. Our wedding was so very smooth thanks to Nicole’s fantastic coordination skill and experience.

Just played there for the first time yesterday. Their afternoon price of $25 including a cart in August is really hard to beat. Like many courses in California, theyve had to convert much of their rough to dirt to conserve water and their water features are suffering also. Unfortunately, nearly all of these dry areas which line both sides of the hole all the way to green and around the green have become hard as a rock. If you miss the fairway, it just skips through this stuff and out of play and that gets a bit frustrating as it is already a tight course to begin with before they made those conversions to dirt. So youre penalized severely for errant shots and this course demands pinpoint accuracy. Greens were slick and hard as a rock also and bit inconsistent, but not horrible. No yardage markers anywhere and I found the GPS unit in the cart to be off the mark consistently, and my friend and I kept wacking our head on it when we were getting in the cart. Screen is dimly lit also so its hard to read. A lot of blind tee shots and with no signs or yardage markers and the crappy GPS, it can be a bit tough playing the course for the first time and discovering hazards or true distances. Course could use some cart path maintenance and much better directional signage between holes also. Overall though(despite my complaints), the remaining grass is in good shape and the course is still fairly attractive, and so its a good deal for the money and could be a lot of fun as long as you hit the ball dead straight and are familiar with some of the blind holes already. The folks working there were very friendly also.

This course is horrible. No driving range or warm up practice area. I have lived in San Diego since the course was built and I have NEVER see it in the condition they show in the pictures at their website. They over book as much as possible. Be ready for at least a 5 hour round. So make sure you have plenty of patience and daylight to finish. Cart path only for most holes, which means they are making themselves the priority over their customers golfing pleasure. Golf carts dont hurt the grass. The only time course managers should keep golf carts off the grass is after a hard rain and the concern is the golf cart will get stuck. Yardage indicators on the carts dont appear to be accurate due to you can have two carts parked next to each other and the yardage may show 10 yards difference on some holes. I want to try to say some good things about this place.. The only thinks I can think of is the greens in good shape and fast. Sometimes they offer some low prices, but at low prices you get what you pay for, and with the higher prices, you are just getting ripped off! Anyone that would rate this course 4-5 stars either works for the golf course or is just outright insane!

What a bunch of whiners. Unless you guys have been playing Torrey Pines every week, this is a great course with nice views, close to where many people live and work. Complaining about houses being too close? Dont hit them. Theyve got a practice area to get your swing warmed up and putting aligned. Its a challenging and intriguing course that is pretty well-maintained compared to many other courses Ive played in San Diego. Ive also used their country club facilities to host a couple banquets. They did a wonderful job decorating the place and were flexible and helpful with all of my requests. (Didnt experience any of the event service problems others may have mentioned.) Ive attended weddings and birthday parties there too as well, all of which were executed with excellence. The food tasted great at all of the aforementioned events. I live in Scripps Ranch so Im close by. Thankfully, they not only meet my desires for a quality country club but surpass them.

At first glance, the apartments look great. After living here for awhile though, more and more problems seem to come up. First of all, the windows are old and thin which lets in a TON OF NOISE, wind, and sometimes water when it rains. Second, there is curb side trash pick up, but people like to just leave their trash outside the door and stink op the whole hallway instead. The complex says there is a $35 fine for that, but they do not enforce anything. Next, the water takes a super long time to warm up. Sometimes the water does not even get hot. Last but not least, we were never given a swipe card even though they say we were assigned one. The result... paying $35 for "another" one that does not even work. This place is not the best at problem solving. The only plus: convenient to stores and the freeway. (but now all the big stores pretty much went out of business.) So For how much money it is to live here, its NOT WORTH IT!!

Having our wedding at Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club was absolutely fabulous! The venue was beautiful and spacious inside and out with a lovely courtyard patio adjacent to the gazebo garden area where the service was held. The inside reception area has fantastic panoramic windows and side patios that provided our daytime wedding with the bright and open feel that we wanted. The service was excellent, the food was delicious (and gluten free), and Nicole, our coordinator, was awesome to work with! She was very professional, quick to accommodate our vegan guests, and so easy to work with given that most of it was from long distance! She offered us a special Sunday rate that included a delicious cake from Edelweiss Bakery that helped to keep us within our budget. DJ David Leeds was outstanding! Can’t say enough good things about CMRCC. Our wedding was perfect thanks to an awesome venue and staff!! Kyle & Alyson Hopkins
