This aquarium has some of the worse customer service. While I would agree they have a large selection of fish, they do not stand by their products and will not honor any store credit against their fish after the seventh day. We spent well over $200.00 in this aquarium and I must add half of the fish died within ten days. If you deal with the same person or not they will try to rip you off and give you either nothing at all or a partial credit, i.e. you buy a fish for $30 and it dies on day eight, you get nothing. If you buy a filter and plug it in and day two it stops working you get nothing again. I would highly recommend staying away from this place because they will rip you off every time. You can buy a fish from them it can die the same day, and they will tell you to bring in a water sample with the dead fish, only to try to get out of honoring the money spent. Inclusively, what kind of place has mangers that want to argue with a customer publicly about taking care of you with quality customer service. Beware people, you buy it and open it or put in your tank you own it. They might as well put on their receipts"PURCHASE AT YOUR OWN RISK", as they openly advertise no guarantee on most of their expensive fish tanks. By the way they only received one star because that is the minimum rating allowed, but they should not in my opinion even be on the map. Beware of the manger Lenard as well, as he stands 5 and acts like he is a 6 foot kung fu master with most of his customers, lol.

Although the prices are fair the quality of live stock is questionable and customer service is terrible. First off they sell turtles that are way too small which is illegal and dangerous especially to kids. Anyways after 4 associates walked by me without even a hello i asked for help. I wanted a frogspawn coral and the associate recommended a White Frogspawn frag which I happily bought only to have all the tentacles fall out a week later, after some research there is no such thing as a white frogspawn, they sold me a dieing bleached green frogspawn. When I asked about it the next time I came in I was reminded of their no return policy on salt water even though I had photos of it completely white in their tank proving it was dead or dieing before the purchase. I was also there for a hour and I saw unpacked live rock sitting in open air from the time I arrived until about the time I left. I would recommend trying Aquaworkz on Belvedere and Power Inn, better and bigger selection, awesome associates, they are what Exotic Aquarium used to be like back in the day before they moved locations and stopped caring about their customers. My rating is also not based of this one visit its based off many many visits over the last 10+ years this was just the most recent and last. I loved this place so much as a kid and its so dissapointing to see it go down hill. Thank GOD for Aquaworkz cause I will not be going back ever again.

I must have went on a day they did not have a lot of stock (Friday). Most of their tanks were empty. Plenty of monster fish though. I wish there was more of a community fish selection. Plants were dead too but from the labels, there seems to be a good amount of available plants, when they do have it in stock. I had hoped to purchase a good amount of stock since I do not live in town (3 hours away) but only ended up with some caridina shrimps. Caridina shrimps were kept in tap water so I changed their water before leaving town (brought my test kit to test so changed to mineralized RO/DI water). Prices are okay. Not cheap but not too bad. I gave four stars because it was a bit difficult to find a worker to catch the stock even though there were only four other customers in the store, still looking around. One worker was cleaning the saltwater tanks so I had to ask the worker at the counter to find someone. It makes me think workers do not want to be around unless made to. I am fine with that. I just need a worker to catch what I want to purchase while not having to wait forever or look everywhere for one. Not a new hobbyist so I do not need questions answered. Overall, customer service not bad as some LFS I have been too. Working in the same job field, I understand some days are just not the best. Hopefully on my next visit, it will be better as Ill be in town more often now.

I wish I read Jacobs review before I came here. We thought the guy who caught it was a little rough when he smashed the fish into the wall with his net and ripped it off the wall by its fin. We thought maybe it was ok since the guy must be a pro, doing this all day, and it was swimming in the bag anyway. Next, to bag a bubble tip anemone, he pulled the rock it was on out of the water and started trying to shake it off. I had to stop him and tell him Id buy the rock. Well, in less than 24 hours, the Mandarin died. Unlike in Jacobs review, they wouldnt refund me even though it died in less than 24 hours. Thankfully, the anemone survived, but it probably was only because I stopped its foot from being ripped off. I dont think I will ever come here again, and neither should you. Update: All the fish except a couple displays (like where I picked the Mandarin) had ich. Be careful if you decide to buy anything despite the last few reviews.

WORST QUALITY FISH, COMPANY, & EMPLOYEES EVER. I would rate it 0 stars if I could. Everything I bought here died within a week and they will only give me some store credit. I wish I read this first, when I went back for my money I saw that almost every fish was sick or dying. Every fish/amphibian/turtle/invertebrate that enters their doors has a death sentence. Worst place EVER. My water quality is perfect, I have never had a fish die, not even from Petco, but every cory and cichlid I bought from them died. The people are only nice while you are buying a fish too, once you bring back a dead one they try and blame it on pH, temperature, transfer shock (probably ammonia, nitrates, nitrites too if yours are off a bit). They also are hardly knowledgable, upon asking them about certain fish I realized I knew more than they. Do yourself and the fish they stock and restock a favor and DO NOT SHOP HERE.

I have been to this store a lot. But it really has gone hill over the past few years. The tanks are dirty, the owners are cheap jerks. The fish and tanks are not well attended to. Yes, some people who work there do know a lot. But over all most of them do not, and they spend so much time trying to maintain all of the tanks they are to busy to help you at all. The dry goods used to be stocked well, and now they are just dropped all over the place. Its dirty, dusty, gorse and i do not shop there any more. There are many other fish stores in the area that are cleaner, smarter, and better up keep then this dirt bag. Do your best to stay clear of this train wreck!
