I have recently purchased a season pass to your Riverside California water park The Cove, on this day June 16, 2017 I used it for the first time. This establishment has been one of the worst operated water parks that I have been to. Upon arrival there was no clear lines in the main entrance it was very chaotic. The staff seemed ill equipped to handle what was going on in front of them. It wasnt just one member of your team but all of them which leads me to believe they did not receive proper training. After receiving my wrist band I entered the park were I noticed a outside food vendor to my right and the actual cafe to my left (Galley Grill), at the food vendor first thing I see is one of the employees with there finger in there nose completely unhygienic, which instantly meant I was not purchasing any food that didnt come pre packaged from this establishment. I tried not to let that get to me so I continued on into the park, were I noticed that none of the life guards truly looked to be paying any attention to what was going on in front of them which I could only consider to be there sector of responsibility. I proceed to look for a chair to place my things down and notice there is no were near enough chairs, peoples things are all along the ground and side of the park. So I look for a empty place to put my things and get into the lazy River which is riddled with dead insects floating in it. Ive only been here 30 minutes and I want to leave. I become thirsty so I journey to get a beverage I make my way into the Galley Grill there is no semblance of an attempt to cordon a line all too familiar. So I begin to wait in a position that the hurd moves in and notice that the life guards are talking with the cooking staff which is causing a blockage at the exit door in turn causing long wait times. While this is happening Im over hearing people getting cold food (which is hard to do when it comes to fries and chicken fingers you really have to try to mess that up). I make it through just to get a $3.50 drink which is a watered down version of root beer. Overall I have just left and feel I have wasted my money. Take the time and drive to one of southern Californias better water parks dont waste your time.

Illness and Horrible Customer Service (Under New Management) We bought 8 season passes (2 sets of 4) and only used each pass once. FIRST VISIT: The first visit was an ok experience, the water in the little lagoon was slightly murky, but the lazy river was nice. Now, of course being teenagers, the lifeguards were more interested in each other than the visitors’ safety (luckily nobody was harmed). Also, the outdoor grill had flies all around it and we couldn’t enjoy our food without flies trying to enjoy it with us (gross). SECOND VISIT: The second visit was not so good. The lazy river was dirty with wood chips in it and the little lagoon pool was so murky that you couldn’t even see the bottom (disgusting). Of course, again the lifeguards were in their own worlds, but that was to be expected, I guess. Whatever, the kids had fun, right? Nope, not whatever. ILLNESS: A few days after the visit, my mother, sister, niece and nephew each began getting sick. HIGH fevers, throat infections, rashes, the kids with blisters and peeling skin… it was horrible! They had contracted hands, foot and mouth disease from the waterpark. Now, this is not normal for waterparks unless it is not properly maintained. Hands, foot and mouth is contracted at waterparks when their chlorine levels are not properly maintained (horrible). Even worse, the lifeguards were visibly sick on the job! CUSTOMER SERVICE: I have been trying to contact the waterpark about this issue for over a week and cannot seem to get a manager on the phone. I contacted their corporate office to which I got promised an email days ago. I have been told that the manager will call me back multiple times and she has not! The cove waterpark definitely has horrible customer service, poor management skills, and even worse water maintenance. This totally saddens me because it was a great waterpark the previous years that we visited.

I signed up for 2 season passes for my daughter and I today paid $107. We didnt even get a chance to go on a full ride around one of the pools when 3 separate people confronted me about my daughter being on me, the second one had my daughter remove her water goggles, and the third person wanted me to take my shirt off because it was cotton. They have to many stupid rules now that dont make sense. I talked to the manager and told him i had only been there 15minutes and I wanted a refund and he said he wasnt going to give it to me because this was their policies. I will be seeking legal advise because I never signed anything telling me their policies and I feel its my right if i dont want to expose my body. Even underwear has cotton they cant have people remove their underwear because of it. Will see how it goes but i was very dissapointed because we had planned this event for months and my daughter was very sad when we had to leave today because of their "policies" this is what upsets me the most how they ruined our day. Hopefully I can get my refund thats all I want. Fyi from 1:30 to 2:30 they close the rides to do a "safety check" so you cant do anything for an hour again wish we would know this before we sign up but like I said you dont find these things out until after you sign up and then they dont want to give you your money back.

If I could give this less than one star I would. Apparently it is under new management this year and it is terrible. We were going to spend the day at the park. I have 2 adolescent children so naturally I packed a small cooler bag of snacks for the day and planned on buying lunch in the park. No where on their website does it talk about a cooler fee. In fact it wasnt even discussed at the register when buying my tickets. I walked out to the park and was stopped by a guard searching bags looking for food. You can bring one water bottle, sandwich and a few snacks per person in your group but you have to pay a $20 fee to bring it in. Then I went out to the park and couldnt find a place to sit. At least half of the tables and chairs were reserved. Several were in a cabana and sat empty all day. They say their hours are from 10-5 but at 4:40 we were all being kicked out of the water and told it was closing time. I also swam past more than one life guard "resting" their eyes. So much for safety. I understand it is a companys job to make money but the new management clearly cares nothing of the customer. They use any excuse to squeeze more money out of the consumer making it less affordable for families and much less enjoyable. We will not be returning to this place.
