While Pomona plays host to a variety of trendy goings on--raucous musical displays at the Glass House, Second Saturday art orgies, the occasional, unplanned native entertainment--the Downtown is flanked with staple bars that provide a myriad of environments and folks to mingle with. Acerogami, albeit one of the more relaxed bars, is a choice selection if youre seeking a laid-back atmosphere, reasonably-priced drinks, and friendly bar staff. Its one of the few bars where carrying on a decent conversation is a feasible possibility. Mellow, understated, and pretty much awesome accurately describes Acerogami in a nutshell.

Downtown Pomona can be either REALLY awesome or REALLY boring. Acerogami kind of shuns that and maintains itself as perfectly average all the time. See, I like it, but the atmosphere is not one in which I would find particularly desirable, but it does straddle the line of fancy and regular with finesse. With its artsy exterior space-growth-thing and the nice leather furniture, Id expect the drinks to be more costly. Decent drink prices and a solid beer selection (nothing on tap, though) make it a decent place to get a few drinks before heading to the Glasshouse.

Some creep who claimed he knew the owner catcalled my friend and the bouncer did nothing. Dont bother coming here if you dont want some creepy old man hitting on you or your friends
