So my friend and I decided to check this place out as the reviews were pretty good and liked the idea of a live band on a Tuesday.. Well we walk in, the bouncer was nice. But the blonde bartender... She was straight rude to us. We just wanted to get ask for a menu and order drinks but the only thing she says to us when she walks over is, "theres people sitting there already" and she straight away helped these other people who were seated near us. I wasnt sitting because I noticed there was 2 empty glasses and an umbrella on the bar so I had a feeling someone was sitting there but I just wanted to see a menu... She pretty much ignored us for the next 2 minutes so we decided to leave... The place across the street (henessys? I think is the name- I probably spelled it wrong though)..was a much better experience. The bartender greeted us nicely and was very attentive and the band was even better. So we had a good night after all. Im not sure if Ill return to marine tavern though.

It looks pretty cool, but I dont know for sure because I couldnt even get in! My buddy and I are here in Laguna all the way from Florida and thought this place would be cool to go to. Just as Im about to grab the doors, I here "Hey! You goin in there?... Need your ID." So my friend and I hand over our IDs which got us condescending looks and an intarigation. After being unable to stump us (because the IDs are real) he grabs who I believe was the bar attender, and she had the personality of Cruella De vil. This led to much more intarigation and many other forms of ID being given such as a pass port card, pilots license, and debit card. Why would you want my debit card!? Anyway, after all this they decided not, I repeat NOT to let us in! Cruella did say that there regular ID checker will be there later in the night and if he decides to let us in we will get a free round. Needless to say I plan to milk them for all they got.

Marine Room Tavern was founded in 1934 by a man named Walter Elterman. Walters Father and Grandfather were both barkeepers. Marine Room Tavern was the second liquor license granted after prohibition. Originally, Marine Room was a Bar/Cafe. It was a place where the locals could call if they needed a plumber or contractor. The bar keeper would yell out, "Any plumbers?" and if there was one sitting at the bar, theyd finish their drink and take the job. There is a lot of cool history in the Marine Room. It has a classic feel from the Edison bulbs to the dark, black, massive bar. If you find yourself in Laguna or nearby, I suggest you pop in to check out this little historical gem. She shines bright at night ;)

I was double charged on my credit card then a few days later my card was used over 15 times on various web sites, I got my $$ back but had to cancel my card as all the fraud charges showed up. I Rarely use this card so I am sure this place stole my credit card number and either sold it or used it to rack up multiple fraud charges. avoid this place unless you are paying with cash. My bank even told me that the Marine room was the place the fraud charges were sent from and they are going after the business to get the money back.

Pretty chill place. Every time Ive been here there has been live music, so thats awesome. They have a fire place that is nice to hang out by, next to a pool table. They have local beers on tap and a wide selection of drinks. I believe the cover starts around 9pm, so get there before then to save a few bucks. Typical drink prices for Laguna. Definitely one of our stops while we putt around downtown.

Superb! Very nice party spot, love the main dance area. Beers are at reasonable price. Great DJ and choose of music love the smoke effects. Well secured, bouncers are every where. Though theres a line up we need not need to wait longer. Huge place. Crowds are crazy party people. Definitely coming back and recommendable.

The location is great, less than 1/2 block off of S. Coast Hwy in the center of Laguna Beach. I like the casual bar with a bit. It is well managed, clean, comfortable and popular. The bartenders are friendly and live music adds makes it a fun time.

I LOVE THIS BAR the drinks are great they have over 140 whiskeys and live music every night. This is my favorite spot to go to after dinner on date night! The bartenders are all super attentive I always have a great time here.

Great crowd, live music and multiple pool tables. Always have a great time, but it sometimes it can take a while to get a drink if they get busy. No harm no foul, still a great place for friends to hang in a beautiful area

Dont let the front fool you...there is big fun thru those doors. Only place in town with pool tables. Leave your inhabitons at the door and have some fun.
