This place has great potential but fails badly. My family went there last night and will not be back. Most of the food was bland. The burgers my kids got was something like you would get at a sports arena. No taste. They never gave us water until we asked for it when our meal was halfway done. The kids drinks were never refilled, and the server hardly checked in with us as the wait to get our order out once it was place with her was over 30 minutes. All that for $117.00 for a family of 4. I dont mind spending money on a good meal and great service, but what a disappointment. I cant understand how the owners or general manager cant see whats going on.

I had the fish and chips, it was blah. Definitely lacking something and way greasy. Service was mediocre. Our waiter didnt listen to our orders (got our drink order wrong) and then when he came back to take our food order he intruppted me tellingvme to hold on, then he left and went to the bar, and came back (we werent ordering from the bar) and proceeded to street to take someone elses order. Uhm hello? I wasnt done ordering! Oh and they were out of like 3 of their house beers.(it was a Saturday afternoon) Bottom line; Its average at best. Nice outdoor patio though!

Handles is the place Pleasanton has needed for a long time... beautiful inside, while maintaining some of the character of the old hotel. Not too fancy, but nice and comfortable and inviting. The beer selection (and quality) is amazing, and the food is all hand crafted and delicious. I love that they use locally sourced ingredients and keep things simple. Fabulous!

Came at happy hour where theres four tables of people in the restaurant. Took 30 minutes for a server to see us and we left about an hour after ordering without seeing any food. Other customers came in after us, ordered the same thing and got served a bit before we left. My five year old daughter appreciates the wait. Go try McKays instead; incredible food.

Came for Saturday Brunch which ended up being a brunch buffet. It was so good! Im basically eating Paleo, so it was great to see all the options I could eat for a buffet. The smoked salmon was awesome and fresh, and the salad was equally as delicious! What was even more cool was that the buffet was only $18person and $15/person of youre a senior citizen.

Great service & delicious food. Sweet server named Shradha. Friendly smile. Happy Hour specials tasty. Tried two. The Natural Burger was perfect. Salted Carmel ice cream creamy and smooth treat. Patio garden pleasant with interesting and creative small rock stacks. Inside & outside seating Fun experience. Handicap accessible ramps.

Service is friendly but didnt get our order right. The kids menu steak was like beef jerky, so dry. Even the usually foolproof French fries were old and dry. Salad Mediterranean with salmon was decent, but came doused with dressing instead of having it on the side as ordered. Beers on tao are likely the thing to come for.

Sunday Brunch was so wonderful! A fantastic spread of a variety of food and very tasty! Will definitely be going back over and over again. Service was wonderful they have a wonderful selection of beers on tap. Definitely recommend it to anyone that go try it. Great atmosphere too!

When we went, it wasnt very busy, however...Extremely long wait for drinks...then for food...then 20 minutes AFTER we got our food, they brought us silverware AND my 7 year olds pasta which also happened to be the wrong order. I could go on, but those are the highlights.

Great craft beer selection, food and outstanding friendly service. The wine selection is also good, if youre more inclined that way. Prices are very fair. The lounge seating is really cozy, if you just want to relax and have a drink, maybe catch a few minutes of a game.

Calamari was soft and full of oil, not very well cooked at all. The sliders were also cooked poorly and very, very little beef. Good ambiance, good beer, but not so good food. Very disappointed.. Only thing that saved the night was the company.

Excellent service from the bar tenders and wait staff, rotating taps and excellent happy hour. Only rant is the "mood lighting" in the dining portion of the bar. I understand having dim lights in a bar but not being able to read the menu is too much.

Very good food. Great ambience, especially the outdoor patio. The corn dog brat app is excellent. Make sure you try the tri tip sandwich, much smokier than youd expect but absolutely delicious. Great place to grab a drink outside as well.

I had the pastrami sliders. The pastrami is amazing, it is the best I have ever had. Smoke on site (I believe) and it has a richness that has to be tasted. The also have a wide selection of beers. Great for lunch or dinner.

Its very pricey but the food we have had has been great and the live music outside during the summer is quite a pleasure. Overall it is a great place to go if you dont mind throwing down some of your paycheck for the experience.
