...a real dive. Ghosts and dubious residents run amok. [the place is quite haunted]...the Old Hotel needs retoration or just some TLC...it is downright filthy...disgusting.... and as for the proprietor & the bartenders...they are all scandalous and most dis-reputable...watch your coat, hat and valuabes at all times. Truly this dump should have been burnt to the ground years ago and the earth salted...it is that bad!...somethings of the past are best buried and forgotten.

I had my first legal drink here in 1992 when I turned 21. This place was great for years until it was sold to someone who apparently didnt have an understanding of what the Folsom Hotel was all about. It was transformed from a dusty yet nostalgic Folsom landmark, to whatever it is today. So much of the interior was removed it is hardly recognizable. I wish it was still Sturms. The food is good, but the old crowd has seemed to disappear. Its a damn shame.

Old school bar atmosphere with decent drinks. The band that was playing Saturday night not so good. Band took more than an hour and a half to run through sound checks , would start & stop songs, lost customers (including us) , and then only started playing the Beatles (like minded songs) . Not fun! Heard from others in the area this is not the first time.

The staff is excellent! Props to Matt, the bartender, for taking care of our large group all night long, I know we were pretty demanding at times but he came through. The band was fantastic too - great party band, lots of fun! Im going to write a review for them after this ;) Bottom line: Bring your friends and prepare to get thirsty
