We were invited to a friends birthday party. She had reserved two lanes over the phone for a party of 11, but unfortunately two couples cancelled. The rest of us ended up using one lane, but the lane had nothing but problems (the balls would not return and the pins would not reset). I informed the guy at the shoe counter and he offered to move us to the other end of the ally. I suggested the next lane over and we ended up playing there. Even that lane had problems with the pins resetting. When it was time to leave, my friend asked if she could be credited for the lane we didnt use because of the two couples cancelling. The manager said no, that she was bound to a contract. She explained that shed made the reservation over the phone and was not informed that there would be no refund in the event of cancellation. I asked if we could at least get some credit because the lanes kept malfunctioning. He ignored me until I asked again. Then he said no. I asked why. He said policy. WTF? On top of that, the small restaurant had tables and chairs set up in it, but we were rudely informed that we couldnt sit inside. I asked why? The answer; you can sit over there by the arcade. Lets top this off with the guy in the next lane over who got pissed and threw a ball haphazardly into our lane....where a six year old was getting ready to play! None of the staff said anything (although his friends did). Most of the staff was nice, but it was management that turned us off. At the very least, he could have credited us a small portion for malfunctioning lanes. I will never go back there again. Oh, for two lane reservation it was $142.00

AMF made a big mistake selling AMF Boulevard Lanes. This same CO, took over the San Francisco triple A league in Shreveport Louisiana and the league and then the league went to wherever. Maybe we need someone with enough money and drive to make it work for the Bowlers,and not an amusement park . I challenge all Bowlers and associated members to stand up for us.

Great place to go if you dont care about being super competitive. Balls always seem to be super slippery. No bowling powder sold, so bring your own. Sliding price scale based on day. Night bowling starts around 8-9 on Fridays. If youre particular about your ball, theyre hard to find on Friday/Saturday nights. Staff is amazing.

AMF is a great place to go bowling in Sonoma County. They have a bar, eatery, shoe and ball rentals along with numerous daily discounts/specials. I recommend stopping by Petalumas AMF Bowling Center if you are in the area and looking for something fun to do during the day or night.
