Beautiful building with a lot of history of Thousand Oaks and the Conejo Valley. They have some exquisite exhibits and it always seems to be growing. The docents are wonderful and knowledgeable. Not only is there the main museum and tours but also an old school house, the Chumash exhibit downstairs, a barn with stagecoaches and tools, and a new blacksmith building. A wonderful place to visit and spend a nice time

To say it was hot is an understatement, to try and imagine what that means in full 1800s garb is another. Small site with plenty of things to see, including the Indian Round Houses. The docents are in full custom (no air conditioning in the house) and the walk about tour is conducted as well by High School Students and their Elementary School protoges! Go take a look, you will not be disappointed.

We went there for July 4th, and it was great! We had kids with us and they asked a lot of questions, and all the docents and volunteers were very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Rooms were set up beautifully. We were really impressed by gramophone collection in particular. I also really enjoyed visiting the school, and learning fascinating details about schooling those days.

Reconstruction of a 1800s Inn filled with antiques and artifacts of the area. The park grounds also contain a pioneer cabin, adobe house, native American village, Stage coach garage, and a working blacksmith shop.

This is one of the only museums with the whole history of Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Casa Conejo, and the whole Conejo Valley. Be sure to check out the Jungleland Exibit. It is really awsome.

Great place to spend a lazy weekend day in Thousand Oaks. Hidden gem for the Conejo Valley ! It is a lot bigger than I had imagined.
