This review is about the Sweetwaters restaurant and not the music hall itself. This place completes the full circle of the food experience (for brunch and lunch). In other words, it has great food, a very nice atmosphere, and great live music to boot. Theres no rush to leave as its the place to hang out in downtown Mill Valley. Of course, the Sweetwater has the musical experience down and the restaurant is no different. Starting with the outside, its sunken with the musicians slightly elevated on a stage which makes all of the seats ideal. Its not too loud so you can have a conversation because the musicians and equipment are elevated, you dont disturb the people who want to listen and eat - the setup works well. The inside has a small bar, cafe style tables and a cool long booth seat with tables. The inside setup is somewhat like a French cafe. It works well too. Now, the food is fantastic. The sliders are delectable. Addicting. I always get both the crunchy chicken and the filet mignon - man they are good and work perfectly with the heirloom tomato salad. My son loves the Silver Dollar pancakes. The wait staff is very friendly, on top of it, and overall excellent. Pricing is slightly elevated but not terribly unreasonable but heres the deal - I never leave thinking its too expensive or too full or complaining much about anything - I leave saying "I like this place".

Echoing everyone in multiple past reviews: If you catch a concert here, there is a really good chance that the crowd chattering away in the back of the concert hall during the show will drive you bonkers... But, as I am chronically early to a fault, I always secure the perfect spot by the stage, spending the night surrounded by incredible music, great acoustics, with the chatterers in the back being a barely audible whisper. (I know, I just gave away the key, risking that you all take my perfect spot! Its all good, sometimes sharing is in fact caring...) Thanks to my early ways, I had plenty time to sample their dinner menu. The food is not rave-worthy, but it is solid if you need a nibble before the show.

In the morning, great coffee and excellent food. The coffee is Stumptown from Oregon and the baristas are skilled and consistent. The chef and kitchen staff make a variety of sweet and savory dishes. The french omelet with brie and mushrooms (mushrooms outside and brie on top) is positively addictive. At night its the best small music venue Ive ever been in. Perfect acoustics. Its much nicer than a plain black box, but its not too fancy. Kind of like a bachelors living room if he had a bar and his favorite local bands playing every night.

Excellent food, service and top of the line P.A. in this venue. I wouldnt expect anything less than a local legend knowing how to do this venture the right way. Usually very laid back with singer/songwriter acts and some electric bands rock on occasion. This is a place to go and listen to music. This means no loud, drunken fools. If you are that person, go where that crowd runs and stay the hell out of our show and ears. Professional.

The Sweetwater is back! Now in its new location, it has plenty of outdoor seating to take advantage of the pleasant Mill Valley weather. The stage and bar area inside is great for an intimate venue. The bartenders are friendly, well, for that matter, all the staff is friendly. Yes, food is available to order and its quite tasty. Enjoy the new (and old?!) Sweetwater by catching a show on the weekend.

Loved this amazing music venue! Excellent sound, great vibe (this place was part of the old Masonic bldg), super nice staff and delicious food! I had their garden salad and one short rib slider, sooo good! Extra thanks to Reed, Michael and Cheyenne for making us feel welcome (I performed at Sweetwater Oct 2015 with Howard Jones).

Its on the pricy side but well worth it and there menu is very good. I noticed they have several beers on tap and alcohol beverages seams great but I dont drink alcoholic beverages but my friends do and they liked it. I love the atmosphere they have a nice and cozy music hall where you can see live bans and dance the night away.

Marin Countys best music venue is also great for casual dining. Indoor/outdoor seating and menu of light fare to brunch items and hearty sandwiches to entrees. Tasty fish tacos, pulled pork, salads and sliders. Special events include top musical acts to screenings of local filmmakers work.

Great Great place to hang out! Cool music line ups, Monday is open mic night. Delecious food. Just went for lunch this week after hiking with a friend. Their food is really tasty, Serving comfort food. soups, burgers, salads etc.. A fun place to go!

Great music venue in Mill Valley with decent food and good drinks. Get there a little early and see if you can grab a table near the stage. There is also a large bar along the back of the venue if you dont get a table.
