My sister had her wedding and her reception on the rooftop about ten years ago. I had my reception here in the gothic ballroom about three years ago. I have to say that my experience with them was overall really good. I think they forgot some of the passed hor dourves but we showed up late for the reception due to some unexpected disasters at the wedding, so I can forgive them. The place looked beautiful. They were very helpful and accommodating even though I believe they had every room booked that day. They were also very forgiving as we had a bunch of party crashers from the wedding next door, we had and open bar and they did not. That being said, that is something to contend with, many other events happening at the same time. Parking was terrible, they will tell you its easy but thats a big fat lie. Other than that the experience was great and they had the best price for a fully stocked bar of anywhere I went, other than places that you could provide it yourself ofcourse. We had no complaints about the food quality, we had pasta stations and everyone seemed really happy. The stage was a great size for the band and the dance floor was perfect. They gave great deals on decorations too. With the right decor it really looked great. I wish I could post pictures on here, it was beautiful.

I attended a wedding reception that was held at this place. I cannot express enough what a terrible experience it was. The party was on the 4th floor. I had difficulty finding the elevator, and when we did find it, it was out of order, there was a sign however that directed you to the "staff" elevator, but it also said ring the bell for attendant, I rang the bell for over 20 minutes, and just ended up taking the stairs cause we got no response. It might have been because there were several receptions going on at the same time? The food was brought out late. Water was not offered. One particular staff was VERY VERY rude when I called to his attention that the food needed to be replenished, it was served buffet style, and many people were in line with plates but no food on the tables. The prime rib was too rare, almost if not raw! Champagne was not brought to all the tables, I had to ask the server many times for champagne. The place smelled terrible! It is a very old building and no upgrades. Both halls had to SHARE 2 toilets in the the ladies room! AWEFUL!!! JUST AWEFUL!! Parking was terrible! If you are looking for event venues...dont waste your time here, this place was GHETTO!!!!!

Our experience at the Tacoma Landmark was amazing, our wedding on August 3, 2013 was nothing shy of perfect. Karen made sure everything was covered, she allowed me to bring in an outside DJ and all my decorations for the location. She made sure that my last minute needs were taken care of with such ease. Everyone love the food and the service was outstanding. The staff was extremely friendly and so helpful. I couldnt have asked for a better day. Karen and Mike made sure they were always available for me no matter if it was my 100 Questions or needing to drop off a payment. Karen has so much experience with weddings that she made sure to ask questions that I had no idea about and was able to make my dream wedding come alive. We were married on the roof top with a beautiful view, I loved all the different rooms inside the Landmark, however the roof top allowed me to have my outside wedding. The service and no stress that came along with the most cost effective location made the Tacoma Landmark hands down the only place to get married. All my guest and my Husband and I are so happy with our whole experience we would recommend this location to anyone.

My Husband and I had our reception in the Temple Theater earlier this year. From the first day of planning with the event coordinator everything went perfectly. The location was beautiful and the food was delicious! The prime rib was cooked to perfection, medium-rare just like we requested. They even saved some of the hour devours that were served while we were having pictures so we could enjoy them as well. The staff was very helpful, I had friends show up early to drop off some last minute items off the morning of the wedding and even though they were busy with another event they made sure the items would be in their place by the time the reception began. They even made great recommendations for a florist and bakery for our cake both which were wonderful and easily coordinated with the Landmark. We could not have asked for a more perfect day. We received so many complements from our friends and family as to how nice the reception was. We would definitely use them again in the future or recommend them to friends, family, and strangers.

I had the pleasure of working as the Event Coordinator at the Landmark. This building is beautiful to say the least. It has charm from an era when architecture really meant something. The Sales Director Karen is the best and she will do everything to make sure your event is special. If you are looking for a venue that will take you back in time, then this is the place for you. Some of the staff really care about their building and it is reflected in the customer service that you recieve. This is a great venue for the bride with a moderate budget, a small corporate event or a concert in a Theater that is a highlight in the Stadium District.

Rude staff, airplane food. There was only one type of salad despite being told we would have more options. Our server made what was probably supposed to be a clever pun about "what you see is what you get" when asked about Cesar salads. No additional dressing was available for those who wanted it. The main course was brought out in a haphazard manner. One of the members of our table was left with no food and after another member of our table managed to rectify it, our server threw a mild temper tantrum. The portions were small and dry, think the food airliners used to serve. Not worth $40.

I went to the landmark center for a convention and I just loved it. It was more than I could have imagined. I love that the building was built such a long time ago, and that it was maintained so beautifully. The employees were working very hard and efficiently. A great place for a formal event. I plan on going there every year. Thanks!

These reviews make the place seem like a serious dump, dont listen to them. Its not the best place in the world, but definitely not a terrible place. The employees were friendly and did anything we asked.

Went for a tasting event for a local distributor. The space was easy to navigate, easy to find, and provided a good venue for the event.

Ive had the Landmark cater several business events. The food is delicious, fresh, and hot and the staff are professional and prompt.
