Its a fun little place. We came for the Christmas night train ride. The train ride was short, maybe ten minutes. Its slow and while some of the displays are nice it isnt breathtaking. If your kids are into trains its neat but not a lot of razzle dazzle. There was a concessions stand with hot chocolate and cotton candy my kids enjoyed. We got there at opening and didnt have to wait too long, but we had part of our group in the ticket purchase and part in the line to ride. When we left the line started looking pretty long, so go early. Now if they could move this train to inside the zoo.. that would be something. The mini train is big enough for me and my five year old son in one car and Im 62".

I have been coming to Griffith park since childhood over 50yrs today I brought my 3yr old grandson for his second train ride since birth also Martin Luther King jr day as we were boarding train my wife and daughter grandson we heard a voice say you didnt pay for him directing her voice towards my 3 yr old grandson my wife had to step in with the receipt that 4 had been paid for really embarrassed by the conductor of the train a Mexican girl so disrespectful I am a US states Army Ranger served my country and got totally disrespected in front of my family no apologies this country deserves better this woman should be removed its ashame place is still a beautiful part of our southern California

I went here with my wife and son to check out the Holiday Train Ride. It was really cool to see the place decorated with Christmas Lights while taking a ride in the train. The ride lasted about 10 minutes, and some parts of the ride were near the horses, so if you are sensitive to that horse/barn smell, be forewarned. Taller individuals may find the seating uncomfortable, I am 5 9" and my knees were almost touching the seat in front of me.

It had been a couple of decades since I set foot in this paradise. I brought my family here for the first time, and we loved the place. Our daughter, 22 months, enjoyed so much of the park. I remember coming as a child and being terrified of the Alice in Wonderland set... I was such a sissy. There is so much to experience here with the little ones, and the all inclusive price is well worth it. We even became members!

Love this Tradition of the Railroad and Pony Rides. My parents took me when I was little and I love taking my kids now. Seems like prices havent changed much since I was a Child either. Train ride is $2.75 and Pony Rides $5. I would gladly pay a little more because the memories we get in return are priceless.

Person by the name of Robert at the ticket booth for the train ride is super rude and not kid friendly. He over charged me for an extra ticket then argued with me after I told him that he charged me for an extra ticket. Killed the fun mood we where in.

The more hidden side of Griffith park. Plenty of parking, less people, and just as fun. I love the train ride here and its a reasonable price and theres not much wait. Definitely a gem, come if you have time when you go to Griffith Park.

Interesting little trek with views of beautiful trees along the way. I definitely felt sorry for all the ponies held in captivity who we passed on our journey.

A lot of fun for the whole family for a reasonable price. The ride seems around 5-10 mins and goes through a few differnt displays to make it fun.

As a young boy I remember riding the Union Pacific modelled replica, that was 1967, had a great time back then, thanks dad for the great memories!
