So I have read through the reviews and would like to add my two cents. I am an avid film watcher that moved to Amador County a few years ago. I was thrilled that such a small community had a theater this nice. Is it the same quality as the Regal in over in El Dorado Hills? Yes, just on a smaller scale! The sound quality is great. The staff are always super friendly. Theater and bathrooms are very clean. They get first run films. Never need to worry about not getting a good seat even if show up right before film starts. Yes the snack bar is small. Hello it is a four screen theater, what do you expect. Yes the screens are not as big as some in other film houses, again what do you expect from a small local theater. I love coming here and have adjusted how I go about viewing films I really am looking forward to. If a new release comes out and they dont have it showing I ask if they are getting it soon. Typically all popular films will be shown, if not I drive an hour to the theater that is showing it and deal with the crowds. If a film I want to see is in the theater now I see it quickly versus waiting, as it may go out of the theater soon. Bottom line it is a great theater, with quality equipment and a terrific staff that plays first run movies. Really nothing more you could expect for such a small community. I ALWAYS choose to go to the Regal Theatre in Jackson. Not only am I keeping my money locally, the staff is great and theatre is perfect. Yes, the snack bar is not large and there are only 4 movies to choose from, but I would rather shop local, not have to show up 1 hour before a show to get a seat (like in El Dorado Hills), and enjoy the MOVIE rather than listen to crowds of people. WE LOVE REGAL in Jackson! And Mary rocks!

A little on the small side but its nice because its the road less traveled. Popcorn is fresh and the staff is really nice. Bathrooms are clean too. If you go during the matinee times you could be the only ones there, so thats a bonus not having to jockey for good seats. There is a great pizza place across the street if you want to eat before/after your movie.

Come on, you cant charge regular prices for such and old theatre. No stadium seats, seats are torn and broken and the ac or heater makes a constant buzz. Drive to el dorado hills, same price for so much more quality. Sorry Jackson but maybe it should be a second run place like sunrise ua in citrus heights

Up yours It. Im exhausted from this experience. If visions of that clown keep me up tonight Im dropping it to one star. (If I were rating the theatre itself Id give it a 4 out of 5, it misses a star because the seats are tooo high and straight, they push my neck forward.)

The seats are the most uncomfortable seats u can have. But its always clean and staff is always good and its close to us so we keep coming back. We would come way more is seats were not so uncomfortable we nor.ay drive 30 min to see a movie just because of that.

This theatre caters to Young adults. Thats great except Amador County has one theatre and more retired adults per capita in Ca. Ive written many times about having one day of early shows but they wont do it. Come on Regal adjust!!!!!!

Because it has only 4 screens, movies are rotated through rather quickly. The quality of selection is hit and miss. The theater is a little dated, and while the sound quality is fine, some screens appear to have some wear.

Small but I would rather go close to home then travel but they dnt always have the new releases when they come out. Like the new Underworld not being there, we went to El Dorado Hills instead. It seems to happen alot.

I want to commend employee, Mary, who showed much concern when I Iost my wallet in the theater on 12/3/14. My wallet wasnt found but Mary followed up and showed excellent customer service.

Very expensive as compared sacramento prices. Pay $5 for matinee on weekdays not $9. Very dark in theatre when trying to pick a good place to set.

Small place. There is not a lot of people there most of the time. They have a small snack bar.
