Never have I ever seen an aquarium shop that was this clean. The store as you walk in is very vibrant and bright unlike most stores that are very dark. It doesnt smell like an aquarium either (not a big deal). The livestock selection was extremely good. They had a very limited saltwater selection, about 8 tanks in total but they all seemed healthy. Especially this dwarf flame angel I was looking at. He was nice, fat and looked really vibrant. Their freshwater selection is immense. There are so many different species and theyre all super healthy too. From the looks of it, each tank is on its on system and theyre run by sponge filters. First time going there today and I am blown away. Only if their marine selection was a bit better would I plan to go more. I think they were just low on stock. This place is great to go for, for dried goods. They have all sorts of high quality fish foods and medicines that will actually work. Quite impressed overall.

The store is very well organized and the fish selection is excellent. They do offer live worms for your fish, sold per oz. and apparently their fish selection rotates every few weeks as well. The gentleman who helped us out was very knowledgeable, passionate and also entertaining! We have a unique situation with two very large mature fish in our 38 gallon tank (a fast and territorial red tail shark at 6 inches long and a similarly large angel fish, both around 4 years old). We ended up picking two beautiful nearly full grown gourami and two juvenile parrot fish to complement the tank. So far we have had no incidents other than the playful chasing around that occurs in most tanks where dominance is not completely established. We are probably coming back for some live worms once we deplete our frozen stash.

I love this place! Steve is super cool & knowledgeable, which is why Ive been coming here for years (both locations). The new-ish location is quite a bit larger & has a great flow. Its consistently filling up with new merchandise & unique aquatic life. A review here & there may say that its empty (maybe when they 1st moved) Its looking so good now, & its not because they have 50 facings of the same rocks (like a corporation or ketchup at Safeway) lol. Im a small business & can relate w/ the small fortune it costs to fill the shelves let alone move & practically start over. Prices are good to reasonable. Its comfortable, & the owners are layed back & grounded. Anyone who goes in to Concord Aquarium isnt going to leave unhappy.

This is a neat place on Pier 39, if you have kids they will enjoy it. We got a nice discount on our tickets, which made it more reasonably priced. Had I paid full price I would have been disappointed for sure. I honestly thought it was going to be bigger. 30 minutes to do the whole walk through, so we did it twice. Monterey Bay Concord Aquarium has this one beat by far, but its still neat in its own way. They have river otters and other animals you cant see other places. The nearshore & offshore tunnels are definitely the highlights of the Concord Aquarium. The touch pools were cool too.

They may have great fish but I recently bought 4 fish from concord aquarium, I bought 2 puffer fish and 2 moors, 1 all black and one white with black fins. One puffer fish died right away, then it was the white moor, shortly after that I found the other puffer. So the only one left is the black moor and he isnt looking so good. So thats 3 out of 4 that have died and the last one standing is barely hanging on. I have 2 tanks and lots of fish only the ones from concord aquarium have died. So I strongly suggest buying your fish somewhere else.

Ownership has been in the fish business many years and clearly knows his stuff. Tanks are immaculate. Store is well stock with all the aquarium needs. Fish are all healthy and fairly priced. You fell right at home while browsing the never before seen or extremely hard to find tropical and saltwater fish. Live plants are well groomed and well rooted. This guy goes out of his way for your business and takes the time with every customer to make sure that you will be happy and come back again. Great place to do business.

I dont think I can explain in words how happy I am to have a shop this amazing. Every time I go in the owner is super nice, friendly, and always has good prices on his fish. The fish are amazing, healthy and just over all perfect. Ive been able to pick up some hard to find fish here that I cant seem to find anywhere else, and for an amazing price too!! This little shop is the best around.

The fantastic couple that run Concord Aquarium are knowledgeable and have an awesome origin story! Nicely stocked and clean store. They rotate their stock so you may not always find the same fish, but check with them. I was very happy to find that they sold pygmy corys and live tubiflex worms. We will definitely be back many more times to come!

The couple who run this store are fantastic. Great advice given on diseases, tank composition, and anything else fish related. They have a rotating selection of snails, plants, and fish, all of whom are well taken care of.

Great selection of fish and owner is always extremely helpful and overall nice guy! Unlike a lot of aquarium stores, Concord Aquarium is a large store which is nice because you arent always bumping into people.

You can take the Aquarium out of Concord, but you cant take the Concord out of the Aquarium. The customer service and knowledgeable employees have kept me going there for years.
