So this placed just opened and I work occasionally in Chico and wanted to check it out. The owners used to work in construction and like all passionate people their hobby turned into a distillery. As with all new businesses there are kinks to work out, and so I bought a bottle as a gift to my wife who likes flavored rum. While I was in Yuba City in mildly warm weather the cork popped and spilled rum all over my car. I called and talked to the owner to inform him and he was gracious enough to honor me another bottle next time I was in town. Today I stopped in and he not only gave me one but two bottles! I bought another bottle to have all three flavors just because I felt so appreciated. I came in to support local business and local culture and now Hooker Oak has made me a repeat customer for life. Thank you Hooker Oak Distillery! Although starting a new business is hard its amazing how successful you can be with exceptional customer service.

Nice tasting room and good rum. They only had the Apple Pie rum when we came for their opening and it was great. Sweet but not too sweet. Try it with sparkling cider as a mixer! The staff were friendly and gave us a tour. We cant wait to try their other flavors coming out soon.
