CAUTION WHEN BOOKING AT KEN MCDONALD GC: I wish I could leave a no star rating because my experience here yesterday was AWEFUL!! Now before I go on a rant I will let everyone know the course is in good shape and the value is certainly worth the money. Let me now tell you whats not worth the money...The time we waited/wasted and the lack of customer service received. We had a 1:16pm tee time and was told they were running 5-10 minutes behind. Not a problem as that is expected. What isnt expected when playing at a course is being packed in like sardines. These guys booked tee times every 6 minutes. EVERY 6 MINUTES?!?! Thats insanity at its finest. The guys ahead of us were a 1:10pm tee time and the guys behind us were a 1:22pm, so on and so forth. It was a minimum 10 minute wait at every single hole. I think we waited 23 minutes to tee off on the 9th hole. I know of at least 6 people that paid for 18 holes and were so upset and frustrated they left after 9 holes. Two of those people were in our group. We ended up teeing off at 1:33pm and didnt reach the 10th hole until 4:49pm. Oh, and we didnt see the cart girl until the 8th hole, about 2 and a half hours into our round. She was very pleasant by the way. Lets fast forward to hole 11, where our golf cart DIED. Dead, deceased, done for the round. I called the club house on my personal cell, told them what happened and they said they would send someone out right away. Me and my friend walked 3 holes and finally on hole 14, an hour later, someone showed up with a new cart in tow. We managed to finish our round just before the sun went down. I play a lot of golf and have never had an experience as bad as this one. I will never come back to this course due to the way they treat their customers which is a shame because the course was actually fun to play and in decent shape. Im just not into playing a round that takes 6 hours to finish or having to walk when I paid to ride. Im in decent shape and I dont mind walking, its just the principal that someone told me they would be "Right there" with a new cart and it took them over an hour. I would never, EVER treat my customers like that. CAUTION WHEN BOOKING AT KEN MCDONALD GC.

Dont waste your time. Management really needs to retrain their workers if they plan to be successful in this golf market. From the start, the phone guy said all the T-times were wide open all day but when we arrived, there was a wait. The guy said the cost was $18.00 each for 18 holes with cart, but when we arrived it was $27.00 each. But worse of all was the cart lady from hell. If it was Ken McDonalds intent to trade good customer service for a good golf experience, then this cart lady totally missed the mark and needs to be fired. Shes the most unhappy cart lady patrolling a course in Arizona. Instead of taking the opportunity to sell you a beer or snack, shes more interested in being the golf police to tell you everything you’re doing wrong on the course. And at the end of the day, she wont even sell you the beer. If youre in between playing at this course, save your $18 or $27 or whatever they decide to make the prices when you show up and go somewhere else. Anythings better than horrible customer service and a bad golf experience at this golf course.

Gotta love Kenny Mac! An awesome muni course in Tempe with kind of a neighborhood feel to it. Reasonable rates, reasonable prices in the clubhouse and the staff is usually pretty cool. Perfect for weekend warriors, for sure. Not the toughest course youll ever play but its in good shape and always a good time. The range is also a great place to just stop and hit some balls once in a while. Watch for some of the city of Tempe programs for the kids, too. Awesome deal. Once you meet Kenny Mac, hell be a friend for life. :)

Super Course and a Great Value, I can see why this is one of the Qualifying courses for the Phoenix Waste Management Open, The Staff is Amazing, The Management of the Course, Greens, Fairways is Outstanding for a Public course. This is a Straight Forward Track that is Fun to Play...Play Ready Golf and Help Speed up Flow and you can get this Done in 2.5 Hours. The Back 9 (Old Front 9 to us Veterans) Has some of the Greatest holes in this Part of the Valley!! Highly Recommended!!

New management got it right! Weve been golfing here for years and have never had better service. The new cart girl was extremly friendly, helpful and pleasant. We were there on Sat. Sept. 10th the weather was perfect, Bryan in the pro shop was very helpful and knowledgeable and most importantly Jordan (cart girl) was amazing. Thank you management for making the turn around we really appreciate it. Wonderful time had by all.

Played today. Cart paths only. Fairways were covered with grass clippings and the greens had more grass on them then most courses have on the fairway. None of this was posted on Golf Now. Total scam and theft of services. The cart path only sign was not posted in the pro shop but on the first and 10th tees. They were I guess hiding this information from Golf Now customers.

The golf course is in the best shape Ive seen it in for years. Unfortunately, the course management seriously overbooks the course to maximize profits. We booked 18 holes but were only able to complete 9 holes in 3+ hours. Only saw the marshal once today; same with the cart girl. Quit after nine holes and NEVER going back. TOTAL RIP OFF!!!

Awsome course and even better price. A couple friends and I played the 18 hole and enjoyed all 4 hours of it. Very nice staff and even better fairways. I will definitely go back a+++++

Great prices, friendly staff. Never been known for being the nicest course in town but they offer one of the bang for your buck around with and overall B+ course from tee to green.

If I could put a worse ratting I would this golf course is the worst golf course in Arizona who closes the damn driving range at 2 pm. I would rather golf in my backyard.

Fun course, great rates. I grew up playing this course and its a staple in tempe. Edit: How this course doesnt have over 4 stars is beyond ration. The value is incredible.

Excellent time to hit a round of balls at the range. Reminds me of courses back easy no Top Golf flair if you dont want that you dont need it go here!

Very nice course, but the pace of play was horrible. It took over 6 hours for 18 holes. Every par three on the course had a long wait.

Ken McDonald is a fun course. Its not the best course, but I prefer that.. It matches my golf skills.
