I played there today for the first time. The course has a nice layout. And is very challenging, if you miss the fairway. The buckers are not soft sand, but that seems to be the norm for Phoenix area golf courses, at least in my price range. For me the biggest let down was not the golf course, but the noise.It is under the sky harbour flight path, and their is a power generating station very close that run turbines that are as loud as jet engines. I was told that that are not always on. But they were today. If I play there again I will bring ear plugs just to be on the safe side.

The grass was very healthy for mid August. The sand traps may as well been filled with concrete, ball rolled in and left no trail and footprints really didnt need raking. It had rained the night before but the traps dont get like that overnight. Fun course that has its challenges and blind obstacles. Missing fairways and greens are penalized a bit harshly by the steep hills lining each, forcing you into trying shots you never have. Overall, fun place to walk in the footsteps of ASUs greats.

Golfed here with my buddy for the first time today. We had a great experience, although Im pretty biased as we were very lucky and my buddy won the "golfer of the day" promotion so his green fees were free and we got some balls and a 2 for 1 food voucher. Even if we didnt with that I would have said we had a great time. The course was in great condition, the service was excellent, and the course is very good value. Will come again.

The golf course is classic Pete Dye with lots of small and deep bunkers and riveted fairways. The greens are smooth and consistent and the risk reward on this course is great. The setting of the course is also really cool because you are in an Urban area playing golf. You also cant beat the summer rates for the quality of course this is. I would highly recommend it.

Not a good course for someone coming from out of town. We were moved to this course due to a tournament and it is overplayed and not in great shape. This club house is somewhat outdated and the service was slow. I would not recommend this golf course.

This course is in the heart of the ASU campus. The layout of the course is different from many Arizona courses with less desert and more rolling grass surroundings. It can be challenging, but offers good play for beginners and advanced golfers.

Im at about 3.5* so well round up. Not an elite course, but very fun and provides both scoring opportunities and challenging holes. Greens have always been in pretty good condition when Ive played here as well.

First time there...Links style course...some risk reward stuff. Hardly ever a level lie. I enjoyed it. Clubhouse fill with ASU memorabilia. Great Pro shop... Enjoyed it.

Worst maintained course Ive played. Fairways, greens, everything was in terrible shape while everyone else in town has their course looking like perfect AZ courses.

The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. The course conditions are great. The clubhouse is very cool, there is a ton of ASU Golf Memorabilia.

A great course to play in Tempe. It its one of the more challenging courses in the area that Ive played and very well maintained year round.

A shrine to Phil. Apparently the golf course will be shutting down at some time. Get your fill of Phil while it lasts. Nice clubhouse.
