Tolles kleines Museum in Zentrum von Phoenix. Die Entwicklung des Polizeiwesens seit Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts wird anschaulich gezeigt. Das Museum ist eher klein, bietet aber trotzdem viel, vor allem für die Kinder. Highlights: die Kinder können sich Polizei-Hemden überziehen, in ein Polizeiauto aus den 80ern sitzen (mit funktionierendem Blaulicht :-)), sich auf ein Motorrad setzen oder als Verbrecher fotografieren lassen. Das Museum verlangt keinen Eintritt, die Angestellten sind pensionierte PolizistInnen aus Phoenix und mega freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wirklich sehr empfehlenswert!

This museum was a bit smaller than I was expecting but every bit as enjoyable! The lady giving us the introduction to our self tour was very informative and friendly. I really enjoyed looking at all the displays and reading the historical information. My girls really enjoyed wearing official police shirts, playing with handcuffs, sitting on the motorcycle and playing in the police car with the lights going. My kids also really enjoyed the 9/11 tribute room where they could also see pictures and read accounts of the Phoenix Police Officers that died in the line of action.

The correct address for the museum is 17 South 2nd Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85003. Its on the south side of the Maricopa County Courthouse. If you are downtown, take the time to stop by and see the museum. The staff is friendly and loves chatting with the guests. The museum is set up well, including the first helicopter that PPD owned. I was fortunate enough to have gone on a day one of the first pilots who flew that helicopter was working. So many great stories about the amazing people who wore the Phoenix Police uniform.

A well done overview of the Phoenix Police Departments history. The displays included several opportunities for young people to get into a Police Car and Motorcycle and other interactive activities. The museum also had a very nice gift shop with moderately prices souvenirs for both young and old.

Great place to check out! Its small but still worth the look! Retired officers who volunteer here are great guys and offer lots of knowledge. Took my 16 yr old and my 7 yr old and both had a good time!

Great place. My kids loved it. Yes its small but has hands on stuff for the kids and the officers are very nice. They shared police history with us and gave us a map for more fun things to do downtown.

Great staff and a nice way to preserve Phoenix Police history. If youre lucky, you may even run into Detective Carroll Cooley who arrested Ernesto Miranda.

Small but enough info about history of law enforcement in AZ. Exhibit on Miranda Rights was interesting. Memorial exhibit is nice.
