The Park with a Heart: My review of Granada Park. The park has a huge grassy area around 2 large ponds that form the shape of a heart inside a desert landscape border. Parking is found on the south end of the park. A large stature of a boy pulling the bow of a boat up the hill greets you at the parks entrance. There are bathrooms and a sand filled playground. Many picnic benches are scattered around under the trees but none have covered pavilions. Sometimes there is a waterfall between the 2 ponds with a charming little bridge crossing over it. There is a beautiful view of Signal butte to the north. The area is abundant with desert wildlife, cactus wren, jack rabbits and quail. I saw more dogs than kids at this park. The large expanses of green fields make for great running. The walking trails often go under the trees then out through the desert half of the park.

I came here on a full moon hash and noticed how pretty this park is. The lake is beautiful, the paths are clearly parked and there is ample space for runners, cycling and dog walkers. Not a lot of shade around but lots of grassy areas to play around and do some sports. I thought it was pretty romantic at night time except when the geese and ducks came out of the lake and tried to attack me. Lesson learned: if a geese is on a walk-path, find an alternative route (they dont like sharing the space). Parking is along the park on the street so it can get pretty busy but keep driving along the perimeter and there should be a small lot for extra parking.

You either love it or hate it. Its down the street from me, so Im in between. Its not as large as it looks and while the lakes are kind of cool, they stink and provide a humidity that Ive never had before (and Im from Minnesota). There arent a lot of long trails, but you can do two different loops, so is nice. One more thing: dont go looking for grass. The majority of the park is rock, so definitely not the place if you want to picnic or just sit on the grass and chat.

This is a great local park. My son loves it here and we visit all the time. Its close enough for us to ride our bikes and the trails include some "off road" sections. They were his first introduction to mountain biking. The park is a nice balance of grass/paved trails and natural desert/dirt trails. Something for everyone. Have taken kids fishing here and even caught some fish. Kids dont need a fishing license so its a fun, inexpensive outing.

Very clean park tucked away in a neighborhood. It has 2 man-made lakes full of fish, turtles, ducks and geese. The playground appeared to be well kept as well. I went on a Saturday and there were loads of people with there kids enjoying the weather. I highly recommend.

Really nice park with two duck ponds, lots of open space, and a nice medium sized playground. Public restrooms on site as well. Only downside is moderate parking but its only an issue if the park is super busy which it usually isnt.

Somewhat small park. I see people (locals) walking their dogs all of the time. There are also plenty of people sleeping on benches or occasionally in the bushes. I do like the tennis courts, but I wouldnt recommend the park.

This is a very beautiful park, my favorite feature are the duck ponds (yes there are two, yay) !! Be careful of one/some of the older park benches, they are rickety and falling apart.

Great place to take the kids. They have a large playground, coupons, one of which is frequented by ducks. Also unlike a lot of the parks in Phoenix they do have restrooms.
