My review of Rio Vista Community Park is very awesome. There are great walking trail that take you along this desert river and down the length of the park. Just past the community center there is a cute gated splash pad with inviting water spout friends to play with. The ramada picnic area just after that is intriguing with its wagon wheel arrangement of covered picnic tables in a ring around a central circle of barbecue grills that surround a circle of wash basins. The play area is sand filled with large ares of spongy rubber pads under the play equipment with bathrooms at the very end. If you want a park to host your large family event. Look no further than this park. Its incredible.

Has a free water area for the kids during summer time or the hot season, the Starbucks is closed down as of my last visit there. Fishing is available (w/license), water surrounding the area has many ducks and birds, skate park, volleyball, batting cages, several baseball and soccer fields, walking/jogging trails, though I recommend watching your kids as they can go into the wash and play with the water and stuck in the mud. Restrooms are fairly clean. Community Center is nice with activities and Gym. Overall it is a great park and you will see that with the mass of people on certain days.

I have been going to the recreation center for a few years now and I have always been pleased with the facility but My grandsons...LOVE the rec center they visit once a year and I get them passes for the month they go everyday it is open the basketball courts, rock climbing, table tennis etc is such a good and positive experience for the and they can use up all of the extra energy without being exposed to the extreme temperatures during the summer they spend all day with constructive energizing play.

It is marvel to expience with family and kids. The park literally a perfect oasis on the desert. The are a nimber of park activities for your young. I would teachomg your young one how to fish here aet os easy andvyou wont need to cpncern yourself with snag. Just enjoy yourvtime fishing with your kids. Them the value patience and using the patience, as the key skill in strategic planning...in this case, you will pat your kild over that

Love this park!! Awesome place for recreational sports for kids & adults. Very well kept up. Offers splash pad in the summer, very large playground, sand volleyball courts, skate park, outside batting cages, youth & adult baseball/softball fields, concession stand, & a large Ramada area where you can rent a space for parties. You can also go fishing here. The Rec center offers additional activities, but at a cost.

I love this park and my kids do too but today we found a snake that had been partly ran over, I went and told the park ranger on duty because it was outside the boys restroom by kids playground and didnt want a little kid trying to grab it or for it to bite someone, the Ranger said Ok and did nothing about it, August 24 2013 6:05pm. The snake was in the asphalt but less then 10 ft from restroom.

Great park... but the rec center weight room is really very crowded from 4:30pm until close (10pm). The price in dollars is unbeatable, but you pay for it waiting for machines and weights. If you have time to go off peak hours or dont mind waiting for equipment, this is your place. But if time is money, spend it elsewhere. The facilities other than the weight room seem pretty good though.

Newer city maintained Park with a splash Park for little kids, skate park for tweens, baseball diamonds, batting cages, fishing, etc. A fully equipped, city owned health club is on the property. The park ties into paved walking/biking trails that extend from Arrowhead Ranch to the Biltmore or the Cardinals stadium.

Very clean, family friendly, and tons of ducks to feed here. Little to no fishing here but the pond supports what it can do. Also there are tons of Pokemon here to catch, green grass and lots of trees. Best part is that the New River Trail runs directly next to the park, perfect for a mid-stop break.

Shout out to Nate at the batting cages!! He went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. The arm of the machine was vent and he gave us $5 for more balls. Great customer service, which is a rarity these days. My daughter (5) is always so excited to come here to hit!

This is a gorgeous park and there is something for everyone. Hiking, playground, rec. center, lake for fishing, baseball fields, BBQ/picnic areas and splash park. Lake is a bit on the small side but there is plenty of grass around it for those family picnics. Very nice park!

It has been some time since Ive been to this center, but its nice to know that a good thing has been left alone to just be good. They continue to have friendly staff and offer a low cost, monthly gym membership. Plenty of room to use for meetings or gatherings.

They have extensive ground outside for walking or biking, a skate park and batting cages, and many outdoor field for sports and casual play. Inside the have a rock wall, full gym, exercise classes, and more. The only thing that would really improve it is a pool.

Fun place, lots to do like volley ball, park and splash pad. I did fall walking into the splash pad and get a high sprain and fracture, over all good place, just be aware there is a step down into the splash pad.

One of the nicest parks Ive seen in Arizona. Well-kept. Bathrooms are pretty darn clean for a park. Ive seen a park ranger come by on multiple occasions, just walking around. Feels like a safe place.
