My and I goto a lot of events and arena type entertainment so when I say that the Hampton coliseum is a little under average its true. 9/10/2016 we went to see cirque du soleil - ovo. Parking was free which is unusual and great for an event of this type, the security check was laughable at the doors. The look of the coliseum is old and in need of updates. We set on the floor on comfortable folding chairs separated from the snack bar area and the entrance by curtains. The arena staff could be heard during the show laughing and playing around. From the looks of it the coliseum is so small that there probably isnt a bad view in the house. While this was far from my favorite venue I probably would go back here but only for the right entertainment.

It is truly hard to critique the Hampton Jazz Festival 50th. It was our first time seeing Kem, Jill Scott, OJays, (artist we really wanted to see) in person. My wife and I attended 2 separate nights and the sound was horrible both nights. Therefore, we could not truly understand the words as artist and host spoke throughout the 2 days we attended. This made the experience non enjoyable and very uninterested in attending any future shows in Hampton Coliseum as we drove 200+ miles to attend. Definitely do not intend to spend $366 here again…this is MY experience.

I been coming to the Hampton Coliseum forever. I know that the food is over priced but hey you have to paid the staff and the maintenance fee. So I just eat before I get there if we doing a child event I just know to put money to the side. Granted the seats are really small but heyyyyyyyy. I guess they trying to get the most money out of each event. Parking again I always get there 45 minutes early in I park across the street. Get in get out very fast. Staff was professional and will come back again. The Block Party 92.1 was outstanding.

Decent facility, my first visit and the event staff from the parking lot to the entrance was cool. Concession personnel got a thumbs up. What kept me from having a 5 Star experience at the Coliseum that night was that poor audio from the Soundstage with the fine vocalist WE came to Hear! I kept waiting for some adjustments to be made, act after act. I was even tempted to go down and ask them if they were even aware how crappy they sounded. Hopefully the 2nd night if the Jazz Fest sounded better....

Generally, one goes to a concert for the performing artist and the venue is usually an afterthought. Not here; its worth attending an event solely to visit the Coliseum. Ive seen many concert in my life and the experience of seeing one on the Hampton Coliseum was unparalleled. The acoustics are great, the exterior of the building is gorgeous, its located on the water. Its truly an amazing venue.

Overall Hampton Coliseum has always been a wonderful place to take your family and friends to see a show or event the security is fairly well decent I wont say that theyre the best since I have seen lots of brawls and violence during or after events at this place but its like no other the Coliseum is nice has a nice venue and is always offering some kind of show

I went here for a show. Parking was straightforward and managed pretty well by staff. I had a bit of a walk after I parked but I had plenty of time to get inside. As with all venues like this, food and drinks were over priced. There are lots of restaurants around this area. I recommend eating before or after going to your event.

The coliseum is a smaller venue so its more personal. Parking can be a bear and make you late so plan to be there early. Everything is overpriced ($15 for a bag of cotton candy and cheap foam hat) as it normally is at these kind of places, so do yourself a favor and decide ahead of time not to buy anything.

The Hampton Coliseum is a great venue. We went to the circus here and had an amazing time. The parking really wasnt as bad as people say. Ive experience worse. The Coliseum itself is getting old but they maintain it well. Overall i would definitely bring the family back again.

Nice convention center, mostly attended for the gun shows and has plenty of room. Only complaint is that they dont run the AC nearly cold enough for the heat of the summer. I had to carry my baby on my self with an infant carrier and I was dying of the heat and so was he.

First time in the hampton coliseum was for the Ringling brothers circus, Loved that we did not have to pay for Parking, the event was also well organized and the Coliseum was very clean. It was also easy to find our way around the building

I have been to the Coliseum a couple of times and find that the sound system is terrible and it makes the performances disappointing. Tickets can be pretty high so I expect so much more. I will not attend another show at the Coliseum.

Older building, but very efficient in moving people in and out. Tight seating on lower levels, fairly comfortable padded fold up chairs. Pretty good acoustics, good lighting for a stage show. Will go back again for another show.

Terrible had to ask 3, different times for handicapped services. And there guy said he couldnt help until I hobbled inside and they said yes we do, and then they directed me to the same man who denied me service. Sickening!!!

Same old coliseum from the beginning of time... Same uncomfortable seating that makes you closer to strangers than all of your relationships combined. Can really use some upgrades

Went for a car show. Its a neat establishment. The building is quite large. But I would imagine for an event the parking would be terrible, as none is close. But idk.

The parking is very well thought out the Coliseum is old. My biggest complaint is the seats are way to close together not meant for people with long legs.

This is a main venue in the area that host concerts and entertainment. This facility is dated but it gets the job done and is easily accessible.
