I loved CoQ so much that I moved my career as a chef to become their Catering Manager. Ive enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and brunch here, and I bring my family in with me my on days off. My favorite breakfast is the Big Ol breakfast sandwich - a house-made, farm-fresh egg (we make our egg patties fresh every day!) topped with roasted red peppers (roasted in-house), local cheddar cheese, locally smoked bacon, and avocado on a thick, rich brioche bun that is smeared with spicy aioli (also made in-house). My favorite lunch is a three-way tie: our signature sandwich, the 301 Turkey - a grilled sandwich with two thick slices of sourdough spread with local goat cheese and local fig jam with turkey and arugula; the Sweet & Smoky Ham - a grilled sandwich on sourdough spread with house-made caramelized onion aioli, locally cured ham, local cheddar cheese, and arugula; and our seasonal salad - for winter, it was the Queen & Walnut, which was greens, roasted beets, candied walnuts, and dried cranberries with a house-made champagne vinaigrette, and for summer it is the Fruit & Goat Cheese salad, which is greens and arugula, fresh fruit (lately it has been berries), candied pecans, and dollops of creamy goat cheese with the champagne vinaigrette. My favorite brunch is always the stuffed french toast, with changing fillings between to thick slices of brioche and topped with PA maple syrup. My favorite drinks are the Local Mochal and the Chocolate Peanut Butter and Banana smoothie. The black bean brownies and the vegan donuts are always superb. I dont love the food because I now work here - I now work here because I loved the food!

We were in Lancaster for a wedding and this is the worst place we ate at. We went there because it was highly rated in reviews but it was quite a disappointment. Its basically just a hipster utopia and I imagine those are exactly the people rating high just because it exists. Go there and you will see what im saying. My wife and I ordered a standard breakfast of eggs, home fries, toast and sausage trying to play it safe. First off the portion is small and comes in a bowl which is just weird. You dont have a choice on the eggs they just come "poached", which would have been fine but the yolk was hard and I would have preferred it flowing like on eggs Benny. The sausage was nasty and the potatoes were shriveled and over spiced with rosemary I believe. My daughters of 8 and 5 ordered turkey sandwiches but they had gouda cheese on them instead of something kid friendly like American and they hated it. Beyond all of that the wait staff was slow and kind of grumpy. They were not personable at all. I couldnt wait to get out of there and they made me wait for my bill for so long. Like 10 minutes after I asked for it. We went to another place the morning before called Alices diner which was probably about 15 minutes from this place which was so much better and cheaper. If you want a nice breakfast or lunch in a diner like I appreciate go to Alices instead.

My brother, 2 young children and I came here today to try for the first time. We got there around 10am. It wasnt too busy, but seemed to only have one person waiting on tables/the register, and 2 in the kitchen area. We waited for a good 20 minutes until our order was taken. However, watched as others who were seated after us, have their orders taken and food served as well as be told sorry for their wait. After finally ordering (and not being told sorry for our long wait) we watched as others around us got refills on coffee and such while still not being served our drinks. After waiting a total of about 30-40 minutes we told the guy to cancel our order because we were leaving due to it taking too long to simply receive our drinks and seeing everyone else being waited on except us, only to have him say, "OK". No apology nor care that we were dissatisfied and leaving. Extremely disappointed and upsetting with our experience here. I have never had this happen anywhere else and would not recommend to anyone.

Several years ago we wondered into this lovely little cate and had a great, fresh, farm to table meal. In addition to being a great place for breakfast or lunch, its also an events space and the owner is a caterer. With our wedding coming up we wondered if this space could be converted from a hip urban space to a romantic evening spot for our 63 wedding guests. The answer is yes. With a few simple touches recommended by the owners and the florist, and the addition of the fabulous food of the owner/chef our guests all proclaimed it was the very best wedding they had ever attended. I highly recommend Commonwealth on Queen for a fabulous breakfast, lunch, brunch or any event including a evening-to-remember wedding. Thank you Rachael and Mark!

LOVE this place. Both times Ive been here the food was delicious. I ordered the 301 Turkey Panini and the only disappointment was not enough fig jam - that stuff is FABULOUS. I mentioned it to the staff and they were happy to hear to positive review. I also enjoyed their daily special of elderberry tea and it was delicious as well. I was here for lunch once in Dec 2014 and during dinner hours another time (band gig in spring 2015) and ordered the same thing. Would have liked to see them have a bigger space, as it did get crowded. Wait staff and counter staff were pleasant. If Im ever in Lancaster again, I will be sure to stop in!

Went here for breakfast with family because of their vegan-friendly options and great location downtown. Waitress seemed uninterested and uninformed (especially uninformed as to what vegan even means, after we explained ourselves then goes on to offer us eggs on our avocado toast; didnt seem willing to check bread ingredients, no idea; what soups were offered that day..) Wrong drinks brought out, ice cold soup served, THE tiniest portions. We were totally disappointed especially since Commonwealth successfully catered my bridal shower. Id recommend them for catering I suppose, but their dining leaves much to be desired.

The food took almost and hour to come out and was disappointing when it got there. I orders eggs rancheros, it was missing avocados and cheese but I didnt send it back because I didnt have another hour to wait. Also, the tortilla was stale and disgusting. The yogurt parfait doesnt actually have fresh fruit in it, just some jam at the bottom. Its served in a teacup for 5$. On orange is sooo much better. We wont be going back.

Love this place for breakfast (which is the only time Ive gone). A very open atmosphere and a place that is very comfortable. The staff is always great and the food is amazing. The local farm to fresh place does it 100% right. It would be hard to find something that they could be doing better, so Im not even going to try! Keep up the great work!

Nice location, nice decorated interior and the coffee is good. Feels a little pretentious, bad choice of background music and food is not good just because it is organic and fresh does not mean it has too taste bad. Then use a microwave to heat it up! Food not good overated very expensive 2.95 for toast! Go there just for the coffee
