Worst hotel experience ever. My husband and I were finally able to go on our honeymoon (delayed a year and a half). We were flying out of Pittsburgh and spending a week in the Dominican Republic. Before our trip I called the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott to reserve a room, since we had an early morning flight. Neither of us had used the park and fly package before, but it had been suggested by a friend so we decided to give it a try. I called the hotel; I didn’t want to book online because I wanted to make sure I booked the right package, by talking to another human being. I explained our situation to the lady who answered – we had a 5:25 am flight on a Sunday morning, and because it was an international trip, we would need to be at the airport 2 hours early, getting on the shuttle around 3:25 am. She said this wouldn’t be a problem. I asked if we needed to schedule the shuttle now and I was told we could do that when we checked in to the hotel. We arrived at the hotel Saturday night, checked in and I verified that the shuttle would be ready for us at 3:25 am. I was told that the airport shuttle service didn’t start running until 4 am. I was shocked! This is exactly why I called ahead to make sure everything would be perfect and we wouldn’t have any problems. Needless to say, they were not accommodating. After explaining our situation and what we had been told when making the reservations, the hotel wouldn’t budge. Finally, the receptionist agreed to call us a cab (which they refused to pay for). We stood at the front desk while she called Yellow Cab and reserved a ride for us at 3:30 am (even though I had requested 3:25). The ladies working the front desk offered us a wake up call for 2:30 am, which my husband graciously accepted. By this point I was fed up and had a headache. We went to our room and I wanted to take something for my headache. My husband went to the vending machine to get me a bottle of water, but the vending machine was broken, so we just went to sleep. Luckily, my husband startled awake at 3:00 am. We never received our wake-up call. We rushed to get dressed, re-pack our bags and hurry down to the lobby. By this point it was 3:20 am. We asked the front desk worker to call the cab company to make sure the car was on its way. Yellow Cab didn’t have a reservation for us! (I believe the lady working the front desk called back and cancelled our cab out of spite.) We were told a cab would be there to get us shortly and we went outside to wait. The cab never showed. We were just about to get our car and drive ourselves to the airport when an uber showed up. Hallelujah! Needless to say, we made it to the airport with a half an hour to spare. We made our plane and our honeymoon was amazing, other than the Marriott hotel and the employees they have working there. When we returned home, I filled out a survey about our horrible stay. A day or so later I received a very generic apology email from the corporation stating that they were sorry their “shuttle service hours of operation were not accommodating.” We wouldn’t have stayed there if the hours of operation would have been communicated to us, but they weren’t and the hotel did NOTHING to make it up to us! We still paid the park and fly rate, even though the hotel wouldn’t shuttle us to the airport. We will never be staying at another Marriott again.

when we got their it looked pretty nice, however the doom began when we came into our hotel room. The room looked extremely thistly and unclean. However the worst part was when we opened the bed up to see any bed bugs we saw hair all over the bed sheets. Even though we didnt find any bedbugs their was blood stain all over the bed covering, proofing that this hotel infracted had bed bugs. If smelled bad and when we wanted to get out they assisted on getting new bed sheets. This time when the bed sheets came they were still dirty and most importantly had hair in it. That night felt like a few days to me. After having that awful night I woke up feeling pretty itchy on my legs, back, and arms. As I quickly got out of the bed I decided to go swimming. While I was preparing to swim their were bugs inside the pool and I had to remove them by splashing water up so they get to the floor. besides the bug the swim was pretty good, however everything else was bad. Honestly to anyone that is thinking about staying a night here i extremely warn you not to. However its ten times more better to sleep in your car, or to sleep in another hotel. Just saying all of this is actually true.

First of all, this is several miles from the airport and you have to call a shuttle from PIT which may then take anywhere from 15 to 25 minutes to get there. In room 902, there was mould in the shower and the whole room was a bit tired looking, the staff at arrival appeared to be fairly past the point of caring. Called reception to have them arrange for a taxi pick up at 6:45 a.m. the next day for an important meeting downtown and no taxi showed up. Turns out reception had ordered it for 6:45 p.m. Needless to say there were no cars available until about 7:15, the meeting was at 7:30, resulting in a very unhappy client for me to deal with. Apologies offered by hotel staff-zero. Hotel shuttle drivers are mostly busy driving bored people to shopping malls rather than the airport so if youre on a tight schedule, dont bother as the general cadence of operation for the shuttle is "every half hour", which, again, can also mean 9:35 or 9:40 if youre unlucky. As a Marriott Elite rewards member, I was decidedly underwhelmed by the whole experience and cannot recommend this property.

Shower was gross. It had black mold growing on the walls and looked like it hadnt been cleaned in days. There was no such thing as constant water temperature in said shower. It was also either stone cold or luke warm with no comfortable temperature to be had. The water pressure was also very poor. As for the bed, it was high centered, so it felt like sleeping on a lumpy hill the the whole time. The pillows were old and flat, providing little to no support. There was also a blood strain on the duvet (not the flat sheets they "wrap" it in). There was no microwave, the "fridge" was laughably tiny (room for 4 cans of pop and two water bottles only), and the hotel restaurant was over priced and the food was not good. The heater never really worked, it just blew cool air that never got warm no matter how high we tried to turn it up so the room was chilly the whole stay. Also they hold $50 dollars a day on your credit/debit card and it takes 3-5 days to get the money released back to your account. I would not stay here again. Very dissatisfied.
