It can be so hard not to be biased at a venue if you have fantastic seats, at an incredible show. But I will do my best to distance myself from the specific performance and tell you, I think that Adrienne Arsht is the the tops when it comes to seeing a play, musical or orchestral arrangement. I have been to others shows here, and at other venues in South Florida and abroad and can say this is one of the best I have been to. There is many things to consider in a performance arts center. Primarily sound and ambiance though. Most places ensure their sound is great so the watermark starts pretty high there. here the sound is excellent. Where Adrienne Arsht takes it to the next level is in ambiance. Starting with the half hazard beauty of the building itself, a work of art that stands out in rougher part of downtown Miami. You can spot it from miles away as you get closer. The walk in is spectacular. It immediately makes you feel like your at a place of worship for the arts. A couple of nit picks: I dont think they have pre-pay drinks for intermission. The Broward center has this so when there is the break you dont have to stand in line. Also if it was possible better lighting in the neighborhood as it is full of homeless wandering the area. Most likely this has been looked into and not on their control. As always, the better the seats, the better the show. And yes, "Book of Mormon" is a blast!

Purchasing tickets seems like they went out of their way to make it difficult and unpleasant. First, I was not able to select any seats, just randomly allocated them, and couldnt see where they were until the second of the five pages. But to understand what seats you were given, you needed to memorise the seating chart as thats only displayed on the first page where youre telling them how many tickets you want. To go back you have to remove the tickets from your cart and start the process over. I also had to create an account purely to buy tickets to this one event, and was asked for a donation on one of the five pages. When theyre already charging a 12% fee for tickets asking for more money is a bit rich. You can select to pick up tickets from the box office, but only the day of, resigning yourself to queues. You can only mail tickets to within 90 miles of the venue. But its not like USPS charges by the mile, so why have this restriction? Although they dont tell you this on the website, I found out when I called their box office which is only open for twenty hours a week. If Id had any other option for seeing the show I wanted to, I would have taken it.

I went this past Thursday to watch SLAVAS Snow Show and it was a true pleasure. The parking facilities were easily accessible with police directing traffic. Parking lot C is right across the street from the front entrance and costs only $15. Again crossing over is a breeze with police all around to escort and keep drivers and pedestrians safe. However if its your preference there is also valet parking right in front of The main door section for $25. The building is easy to find, and easy to get around in. If you need assistance theres security and ushers all all over that are willing and able to help. Theyre knowledgeable and friendly, so dont be afraid to ask if help is needed. We had orchestra seating and were able to access our seats quickly and easily. During intermission we enjoyed a couple of drinks and snacks from the vendors within the theatre. The prices are moderate to high depending on what you choose. Overall I have a great time every time I watch a show at this theatre!

Enjoy a free tour every Saturday and Monday at noon. meeting point is the lobby. If one of the doors is closed walk around to the other side or enter through the bookstore/cafe. The tour amazing and our guide too. We were only 10 people and got to see all the nice spots. I was early by about 15 minutes and got told to hang out in the lobby and wait for the tour to start. I was walking around in the near lobby area and wanted to have a look at the displayed BMW i3 and the flyers in the stands. The security guard was rude and told me to stay over there, pretty much just on another side of the lobby counter. Not an issue at all. I wanna know what the sponsors say if visitors get told to not look at the displays.

I went to see Yo Yo Ma perform back in February. I traveled over 4 hours to see him, it was a once in a lifetime experience to see him. Coincidently, at the same time I was traveling to the the venue, Donald Trump flew into West Palm Beach and shut down the interstates. I arrived to the venue 15 minutes late, along with 25-30 other people who had the same issue. The staff would not allow any of us into the venue to see him. It cost us $100s of dollars for tickets. They ended up letting us in for the last 20 minutes of the whole show. What I did get to see brought tears to my eyes, but the whole experience was completely ruined by the staffs attitude. I will never return to this venue again.

PARKING OUT OF CONTROL At last Thursday nights performance of the Book of Mormon (*****) the traffic was backed up for thirty minutes. That is it took 30 minutes from the exit off the I-95 to the parking lot. There (NE 1 lot) we were charged double the ordinary rate to be jammed in an inappropriate parking spot. The CHAOS ensued after the performance. There was not one parking guide to help with the egress. The snarl was unbelievable. I think that the center has a responsibility to their patrons regarding the safety of the parking. If the parking lot owner demands $30 per parking spot, the Center should demand that the parking attendants remain on site until the last car has left.

Group sales is BULLS*!# . Very misleading. Its a real slap in the face to make a group purchase and given the impression that you will get a discount and when you go online to look at ticket prices closer to the date of the show and see seats cheaper than you so called discounted group rate! We will NEVER use group sales again!!! Although I know there isnt really a bad seat in the house, we feel cheated and could have purchased better seats with the same money we spent on a group rate for Lion King.

Always enjoy Arsht Center. Use parking lot c which is very convenient. Seating was fine. What was disappointing was the performance. Saw Diana Ross and first half of show was very good but unfortunately she ran out of steam about halfway to two thirds her performance, which was very short to begin with. She performed for about 1 Hour 15 minutes. Way too short especially for price of tickets. Overall was rather disappointed.

The Arsht is a beautiful space. Ive had the pleasure of attending performances in both the Ziff and the Carnival. Both theatres are comfortable and spacious. The concession areas are usually pretty crowded but they are scattered around the lobby. Parking in the provided lots can be expensive but street parking is available for half the cost usually, provided you arrive early.
