My wife and I ate there on Monday October 24, 2016 as we had a Local Flavor coupon which I purchased for this place. Some good, but mostly bad. The Good: the server was outstanding and very attentive to our needs. The side salad served with our meals was fresh and very tasty. The Bad: Both the wife and I ordered the 10-handbreaded shrimp with fries. I was there a few weeks ago on a Thursday and the shrimp were awesome with a great taste. On this date, they were not. The shrimp were gummy and somewhat greasy. I believe they were left in the deep-fryer too long. The fries were good. We ordered one cheeseburger to split and had it cooked medium-well. When I cut the cheeseburger in half the meat inside was still pink and the hamburger was mushy. But the worst was when I picked up the sandwich the bottom roll was soaked and I mean soaked in grease. So bad the burger tasted like eating/drinking pure lard; there was NO Dry part of the bottom roll. I paid $2.00 more for onion rings with the burger and they came out luke-warm to cold; waste of $2.00. I should have sent them back but by this time I lost faith in the cook and figured any replacement would not be any better so we boxed them up and feed them to the possum. Possums are not that picky, he ate them all. I cannot understand why you can get a really good tasty meal on Thursday and a terrible meal on a Monday at Green Horizon Grill. I have one coupon left and I will not return on a Monday. I guess the second string cooks work on Mondays. I have eaten at this place about six times and never seen a restaurant manager or any manager for that fact, come to the table to inquire about ones food. I guess they do not have one and if they do, they are invisible to the restaurant patrons. The only other issue I have with this place is they charge an 18% Gratuity when using the Local Flavor Coupons on their customers; they do not do this on regular off-the-street patrons unless there is a group of I believe 6-to-8 or more. This 18% Gratuity IS-NOT-LISTED on the Local Flavor Coupon or website upon purchase of coupon.. Very dishonest and illegal practice, I say... DISCRIMINATION-at-its-Finest..!!!

FUNNY YOU SHOULD ASK!! When leaving there today, there was a party of, 8 l think she said (golfer women) and they ask about eating there and l said "YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED HERE"!! We live just over the hill on High Rock Rd. and we eat here ALOT and LOVE IT--havent gotten anything we didnt like!! They were going to Altland House and we said they would like this better!! BIG FELLA

I had not been there in years, but it was just as good as I remember. Solid conditions, quick greens, firm fairways and the staff was as friendly as always. The beverage cart girl even made a special trip back to the clubhouse to get me a beverage that shed run out of much to my surprise. Great experience and as always a good value.

Food was excellent, service was very good, enjoyed the overall visit very much. The only thing We were not happy with was the fact that they will NOT accept their Local Flavor certificates for all you can eat specials. I just feel an order of food is an order!!

I do not play golf, but I do eat. The restaurant is very good with a nice menu. Prices are average and portions are above average.
