Ive been rehearsing for 20 years on and off, 2 places in the US and 5 places in the UK on a regular basis. This place has been the worst. I think its set up for education as opposed to rehearsal as its very clean and the equipment is well maintained. The issue I have is number of occasions weve been disrupted by both staff and customers alike. The first few times were staff walking in unannounced to retrieve equipment, and the most recent time a member of staff walking in 2 hours in of a 3 hour rehearsal to tell us that another band were in after us... 5 or 10 mins before if we are still playing maybe, but that threw me. There is a also a lack of privacy, doors have glass windows, you get uninvited gawking from other customers (its the Windows fault, I cant help but look either) but as a result we had a first for me, a customer walking in and saying "sorry guys the amps in our room are terrible have you got any spare?" This, again, is the fault of the window I believe, as making eye contact with someone makes the intrusion easier (although if you have an equipment issue, speak to the staff!). Finally, there is a security camera in the room, this is a first and makes me feel self conscious. There is no indication of whether it is a live feed, or just used in the event of missing or damaged equipment. Maybe if you are okay with the lack of privacy this review is irrelevant, otherwise, it will really limit your ability to relax, experiment and have fun.

We checked out many places for our son to learn to play the guitar and Red House had the perfect set-up. It has a loungeee type atmosphere and Brooks is an excellent instructor!
