Stopped into this tasting room after hiking from Sonoma Mt Regional Park to Jack London Park. Pauli (sp?) was pouring and she was courteous, knowledgeable and fun. The tasting room is nicely appointed with photos, maps and information. The wine counter is a long bar with plenty of room. (We were the only ones there.) Their wines are estate grown from Mt Veeder. We tasted a Sauvignon Blanc 2013, Merlot Rose, Merlot 2010, 100% cabernet sauvignon 2009 and their Cuvee Kristin (sp?). All wines were very nice. The sauvignon blanc has jasmine sweetness that is not too sweet. I like mostly red wines and I was surprised that I liked the Rose. It was not overly sweet. The Merlot is a classic full bodied merlot. I was surprised to see it was a 2010 as it will be even better in a few years. The cabernet was especially good for a 100% cabernet. It was fruit forward with a long dark fruit finish. It also had some tannins and it will age well. The cuvee was very smooth with a long dark fruit finish. I highly recommend trying this wine at the tasting room. My kudos to Pauli (sp?) for being new to the area and yet so knowledgeable of the local wine culture.

A true learning experience and Holly was well informed and knowledgeable. A wonderful selection of pours to savor but truly enjoyed the bolder reds. Highly recommend the Merlot and Cab - they were superb.

Great wine, great find. The owners are fantastic, too. Lovely tasting room tucked into Glen Ellen. Well worth the trip over the mountain from Napa Valley.
