Our first time experience was this past weekend to see Culture Club. Very bad theater experience. We were surprised to see a full bar when we walked in; our experience at other venues is beer, maybe wine and a few house cocktails. On top of that, they allow you to bring the drink into the venue. Wow, very cool right? What wasnt so cool, and actually shocking to us, is that the bar stayed open throughout the entire show. Weve never experienced that and the effect was overwhelming. Our row was a constant parade of "excuse mes" and "I promise, this will be the last time", from literally a dozen different concert goers in our row. At around the 4th or 5th interruption, I attempted to tell them that this was very rude behavior, both to us and to the artists. Half of them were too drunk to even know I was talking to them. Scariest of all was the thought that in ten minutes, these folks were going to be getting on the same roads we were. Really a lawsuit waiting to happen. I called the next day and spoke with a very nice gentlemen and shared our first time experience. He was thankful for my comments and apologetic (not enough to offer us a refund though!), and I got the impression that the revenue generated by the alcohol sales was probably more important and than the loss of two future concert goers. He assured me that this was not their normal crowd, but isnt that really beside the point? Maybe the price of drinks should be raised to reduce the volume of sales? Maybe drinks shouldnt be offered more than an hour into a show? The experience was akin to something Id expect in a bar, not in a "Center for the Performing Arts". Im sincerely hoping my thoughts will be shared with the board and that some significant changes are made before someone gets killed by a drunk driver leaving this facility....

Ive waited many years for the opportunity to see Hal Holbrookes Mark Twain and finally I saw him Monday night. However, I did NOT hear him, nor did many of the people is our section - the far right of the orchestra section. The ushers were trying to be of assistance and indicated that the audio team was trying to solve the audio problem. I tried two different sets of headphones, one for hearing aids and one for normal hearing. Neither solved the problem. The closest I got to hearing any dialogue was with the "normal" set it but only worked on maximum volume and they didnt have any others available to replace it. The center section of the orchestra seemed to hear all of Hals comments based on how often they were reacting to his stories. The second act seemed somewhat better based on the reactions of our nearby patrons, but again it was very limited. The woman sitting next to my wife slept through the second act. So basically in addition of parking, we spent $108 just to sit and watch the performance. I guess this would qualify as a charitable contribution. Rest assured, we will no longer attend any events presented in Uihlein Hall.

Great place to go for a show, whether it be a Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra performance, a musical, or the opera. Seats are comfy and give enough space, you get good views and can hear well from wherever you sit, and the space outside the performance hall is perfect for standing around and talking during intermission. If youre a student, take advantage of Student Rush tickets! Bathrooms are a bit tight and parking can be a pain, but these never overshadow the shows. From The Nutcracker to Mozart, its always a joy to come here for an afternoon or evening.

The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts (a.k.a. The PAC) is the heart of entertainment in Milwaukee. There are multiple theaters both in the building and outside. During the summer, there are many lunchtime concerts and other concerts held on warm evenings. The theaters in the building itself offer everything from ballet, symphonic concerts, children’s theater and traveling Broadway plays. There is some form of entertainment offered every single day.

I just love this place. Ive seen so many things here, the ballet, the symphony orchestra, musicals, plays, fashion shows, I even played here when I was in MYSO. It is a great facility with a beautiful interior. There are always great things playing here no matter what art form you are interested in, dance, theater, or music. This place does a wonderful job of catering to your artistic tastes.

We attended "Mamma Mia," February 22. It was frustrating to experience mediocre sound. We were in row J in the center - great seats! I cant understand why the sound techs cant get it right. Why cant the soloists voices consistently be projected more prominently than the orchestra? Too many songs were overriden by the accompaniment. I knew the lyrics, fortunately, so I could follow.

I have been to many performances at Uihlein Hall and Vogel Hall. Uihlein Hall has the best acoustics of theaters in the area. My only complaint is that there are no aisles down the middle, which creates a lot of traffic over other people. Vogel Hall has its own entrance on the State Street side of the building, and is a nice small theater.

Pretty standard venue for the arts; Ive sat in seats in a variety of price ranges and never really had a bad view. Regularly has ballets, musicals, and individual performing acts. There is a parking ramp that can take awhile to get out of for crowded shows, and street parking is sometimes hard to find.

Beautiful venue for an absolutely stand-apart performance of the Florentine Operas Sister Carrie. We just wish there was an opportunity to purchase drinks at intermission and an opportunity to purchase a CD of the opera. If there was a cafe and Florentine Opera table, we didnt find it.

Always a fabulous experience, and treated well. I do however hope that people attending performances are doing all they can to remember to not be in such a rush to get to their vehicles or seats. Relax and relish the experience, before and after, take your time and bask in it.

I love this venue in Milwaukee. Perfectly located and great seats everywhere in the house. We were there to watch The Book of Mormon, which, despite my being shocked at their language, was still a fun play. Im going to pray extra hard this week. :-)

We saw Florentine Opera Romance Español. Wonderful venue, comfortable seating and lovely sound. Smaller auditorium with very small lobby. Of note: forgot our tickets at home a hour away. Box office was helpful and turned disaster into sucess.

Facility is very nice. Saw the Beautiful! Carol King Story and had a good time. They only complaint is the time it takes to empty out the parking garage, but not much that can probably be done about that.
