HORRIBLE. Lets make something clear. This "restaurant" would not be in operation if it were not right off I-5. I have not had a worse restaurant experience in my life. The atmosphere is prison-like, and keeping with the atmosphere-- I think they special ordered prison food, just for us. We were in the mood for breakfast, having been in the area, I thought it would be fun to return to this place that I remembered fondly. About a $30 mistake, and I should have demanded my money back. I asked about biscuits and gravy, asked if it was very good-- the waitress assured me they use "fresh biscuits" and "home-made gravy." The biscuits were HARD even under the gravy, (how do you even do that?). The hash browns were chewy shoe leather. The gravy did not even contain any meat, it was a gelatinous goo with brown flakes of something. There is not one thing I can say that was positive about this experience, except the waitress was nice. I felt completely RIPPED OFF, which is why I am writing this review. I am not kidding when I say an egg mcmuffin would have been like cuisine compared to this "food" and it would have saved us about $25.The management here better start looking around and making some smart decisions. Nah, I hope this place goes under. Its SEEDY, dark and horrible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

We first went to the Oak Tree in 1972 when my brother came from Cincinnati to Bainbridge Island to celebrate his graduation from high school. My husband and I drove on to Portland and then again back to Bainbridge...stopping at Oak Tree once again. AT least once a year it has been a real pleasure to stop at the Oak Tree on the way to or from our family vacation/reunion in Colorado....and this year was no exception. The service is exceptional....the wait staff so friendly [thanks Shirley] and the Bankruptcy Stew is better every time we go. I have only varied from this order once and that was a Taco salad, also good. My husband has tried a number of items through out 37 years of stopping here....and for 32 years, I always buy a cinnamon roll for our son, who was uh...born nine months after out first stop here. Salud!

Got seated right away, but then it went downhill from there. Ordered the meatloaf per my waitresses suggestion - big mistake! It came cold and tasted horrible even reheated. They forgot the mashed potatoes which was probably a blessing. They also forgot my salad so that came (wilted) with the meal after requested. We had to ask for everything - more drinks, sides and finally our check. It took her 15 minutes to even come back to our table after we were done so we could get our check. We were starting to laugh it was so ridiculous. On a positive note my husband liked his hamburger, so there you go - order the hamburgers.

The restaurant not the casino - Server was the best part. Checked back often slightly flighty but i a good way. Very cheerful and greeted everyone warmly. What i didnt have the heart to tell her... Chili was nearly cold barely warn. The Monte Cristo meat tasted like it had been frozen too long or was in the verge of going bad. The decor ids late 70s but kept in great condition lots of older people but menu offers just comfort food homestyle. Kinda like a Grandmas kitchen feel. The hostess with glasses never smiled - she needs to learn. Overall... Average... But a good freeway stop and dine type of place.

I went here and ordered a plain oak tree salad. I looked down into my salad and realized that there was a weird bug on part of the lettuce so told the waiter. He then proceeded to get me a new salad and I again found a bug in my salad!!! He came back and I showed him the second bug and he asked if my friend and I wanted our salads remade. We both said no (since we dont like eating bugs) and he still charged us for a salad. I did complain and didnt pay for the salads we did not even eat. I did however save calories and feel like I am now on the eat no dinner diet plan. I dont suggest you eat here EVER!!!

I worked at the Oak Tree for three days,There food is over priced, and they use old product, like dried pasta,pre-made and dry,They use improper food storage practices,Food uncovered, silver ware in containers, not dated,And they insist on using old product to cut costs, there cooks take breaks and don"t wash before returning to work. And they over use there fryer oil to save money,Im not saying these things because It did not work out for me there,There menu is to big and there is way to much overhead costs, and the customers pay the price with low quality food and service.

JADE GARDEN, CASINO employees(2 different tables) came in after me to eat and got served first and waitresses kept going back to them serving them several items, while I waited. When I got served it was cold and not good, wilted vegs, fatty meat and not a good serving. I am going to be a wise guy and not go back unless I hear things have changed. Hope they learn from these comments and keep it posted. 3-27-12

Whenever Im passing through Woodland I enjoy dining here. Granted Ive only been going for about the past 6 months so I dont know what it previously consisted of - But I think the food is great, portions are large, and cost is reasonable for a sit down meal. Servers are not always friendly - and the ladies at the counter are down right snooty. So food is great. Service has room for improvement!

First time I have ever been here. Really hood fries, i belive they put a special breading over the fries, which made them slightly crunchy. I really like it. I ordered the blue burger it was done very well nice, and tall. The waitress who served us was very sweet, not to attentive though. way better then fast food, and for a town that doesnt have much to offer no complaints. Solid four star :)

Ok, this place used to be a top notch restaurant with employees who lived their jobs, served great food and got great tips. Now the food and services are terrible and all they promote with the new owners is the dump of a casino. Its a terrible shame. The old owners had a fabulous gift shop and everything. We always looked forward to stopping here on our way to Seattle. No more though. Sad.

The food was cold. My family ordered pancakes and waffles and the butter would not melt. There was a fly in my drink and my wife had lipstick on her coffee mug. It has not been redecorated since the 70s and had a grimmy feel about the place. I will never be going here again and not recommend this place to anyone unless you want order a side of hand sanitizer to go along with your meal.

A real toss-up. Fries are a dont order. A bit too expensive on the quality and coffee is way over priced for a stoneware size cup and refills were full price per cup. Too family style with uncontolled children and senior citizens taking their folks out. They should cut menu size, prices and decide if they are truck stop dining or just over pricing for quality and atmospher.
