Dont believe the glowing positive reviews you read. The hotel is still nice because it is still fairly new. Smoking is still an issue. As long as things work, youre ok. Dont go asking for anything though. If you have problems or encounter any issues youre on your own and will get angry, very angry. Management and staff mindset is much like in a quasi third world country, like Mexico where they dont care about customer service or repeat clientele. I witnessed a complaint made about a break-in to one of the rooms. I was not impressed with how hotel management handled the situation. This hotel has no class in terms of customer service skills. Its all scripted and there is no passion or motivation from casino employees. Please read the negative reviews elsewhere. Its been documented that there is an industry devoted in writing and posting positive fake reviews. Source: CBC Marketplace. The reason given? People only post positive reviews they say as a from of revenge. The business is trying to neutralize the negative ratings by creating fake ones by professionals. This is a disturbing trend. During our stay, we also had issues with quasi security of the casino. We had issues with our door lock. We had plans for the day, but we couldnt leave our room because the front door would not lock. The front desk said, go ahead and leave and they will get someone to look at the front door. Seriously? Well, after a half an hour, which we stressed was an urgent matter. Nobody came up. We called and asked to speak to a manager. We were told the manager was not available. Someone would call us back. Nobody ever did. After another 15 minutes someone showed up on the door. Not sure if it was the manager or a women who used to work at Jack in the Box, but after showing her the door would not lock a few times, she began tinkering with the door lock assembly for several minutes. She says there is nothing wrong. I checked the door lock and now it was fixed. I said nothing wrong? Is that how you are going to write you report, nothing wrong. She smiled and walked away. Downstairs in the lobby a well dress man and his toddler were surrounded by several staff members. He was very upset. I caught part of the conversation. He was disgusted how bad the staff and customer service was in this hotel and how he too had issues with his room which were not addressed. Promotions are really lacking in this hotel. This was not the case. The most recent promotion for January offered where the hotel rates in the $101+ range (which we havent seen in almost a year). However, there is a catch. Its completely UN - NOT refundable . they want your money and wont let you cancel. Back on customer service, I suspect issues with employee morale due to the casino management style. As stated earlier, if you have no problems with your room, you might be ok, but if you need anything or have problems, you will be treated like youre in some third world country where the hotel staff does NOT care. We will check out Angel of Winds when its finished building, maybe drop by for the buffet. As far as the casino goes? Its dead to us.

Last night, 12/30 approximately 10:10 my husband and I valet parked our car. This was the worst mistake! When we went to retrieve our car, they COULD NOT find it. They said it was never logged into the system. They gave us the run around for 35 minutes before telling us they hand delivered our car to a thief. They literally let someone steal our car and then tried to place the blame on to us. There was no cause for concern or urgency in trying to resolve this matter. They would not review survaliance to see who stole our car. There was absolutely no accountability. They dont even validate the identity of the car owner before just letting someone drive off with a vehicle. You think you can safely give your car to the valet and have it back upon your request. I think this was an inside job and the person who parked our car gave it to a buddy. The head of security said they contacted Tribal police, who never showed. I waited an hour before taking it upon myself to call 911. Snohomish county sheriffs office replied almost immediately. When I was wrapping up the report with them i asked if I was free to leave or if I needed to wait for TPD, at that point we were told the Tribal police declined to take the call, because they didnt want to deal with it. This entire organization is complete corruption. DO NOT use their valet service if you ever want to see your car again. --- It has been 24+ since Tulalip Resort and Casino Valet hand delivered our car to a thief. Still no luck with its recovery. When reading my review, please read the other multiple reviews (on different social media sites as well) about people having their vehicle stolen from valet. Please also consider the lack of care, concern, or empathy their staff gives when people are in a time of crisis. This to us reflects more about the character of this organization than anything. The "head of security" kept telling us that the "survaliance team" had other more important matters then someone stealing our car from valet. I told her that while we have been waiting we have read other reviews about this same situation happening and tried to ask her since this is so common, why havent they changed their practices in verifying the vehicle owner. She kept interrupting me and when I asked her to please stop interrupting me so I can finish asking my question, she started throwing her hands in my face telling me that I will not be disrespectful to her. When I treated her with the same kindess she showed to me and asked her to not be disrespectful to me and let me finish asking my question, she said "I dont want to deal with you!" and walked away. In all seriousness. If this is such a common situation at the Tulalip Resort and Casino, WHY havent they changed the way their valet service works? They have billons of dollars. Its not like they are hurting for money. Still hoping our car is recovered.

I used to love going here, not so much any more- had tons of bad experiences here lately ~ Ill start with, my Son in law brought us to dinner at the Black Fish restaurant on Mothers day...after we could not get seating anywhere else,we had a small wait. I ordered clams & a house salad, one of my daughters ordered the same, the other clams & soup, my husband ordered the brisket & hotdog & fries from the kids menu for my 2 year old son ~ one of the clam orders was completely filled with sand, one was partially filled with sand & the third no sand at all. The brisket was served with kale & soggy carrots, as for the brisket itself it was the worst Ive ever tried (as my husband forced me to try it because he hated it) NOW all that was bad, this however was the worst- my sons hot dog off the kids menu was so hot it burnt ALL of us, including him...who serves a piping hot hot dog off a kids menu to a toddler? Cook it on the warmer side, or let it cool before bringing it out & serving it Its for kids! Okay now the drinks - as the men ordered cocktails & ladies sodas, the men said that the cocktails were extremely weak & watered down. Our sodas - Shirley Temples & Roy Rogers were perfect & they kept them coming, not the mens cocktails they had long waits. Next as we were leaving (I was already headed to the restroom) my husband asked the front desk if there was a place to change our son & the employee just replied "I dont know" and went on his merry way...OK so he went in a different restroom as he already checked one looking for a changing table (why he was asking where he could change our son) he found in three different restrooms nowhere to change him. He was already irritated by the restaurant, then the employee, then finding no place to change our son & ended up changing him in the hall on one of the couches, security came around & said "hey" nicely to my husband & son as he was changing him in the hallway on a couch & my husband apologized for changing him there & explained about the night, the security said "no problem Bro, I would do the same thing" then suggested to leave the diaper there as there was no garbage in sight...odd security encounter, lol Anyways I would have figured on mothers day none of that would happened Sorry Tulalip Casino, we use to go there often to eat, stay, gamble....not anymore Couldve at least stepped up your game on mothers day, lots of families there & lots of kids...Im sure we werent the only ones disappointed
