Tonight we enjoyed the opening performance of "Rose Colored Glasses"... Another wonderful success by the Magenta Theater! ~ "Rose Colored Glasses" is the story of two immigrant widows in pre-WWII Chicago, "Rose Fleishman" (played by KC Cooper) who runs a Jewish Deli and "Lady ORiley" (played by Michele Glover) who runs Lady ORileys Irish Pub. There is more than an alley separating their two kitchens... But with the help of Mrs. ORileys granddaughter, "Peg ORiley" (played by Lauren Scher), who also acts as a narrator, the three women guide the audience through a deeply touching and yet often humorous story. The Magenta Theater is a small intimate theater where the audience is close to the action. They do a wonderful job, we have been to several of their plays and have never been disappointed!

Great little theater! All the seating is great and actually towards the back is kind of nice as you are looking down on the whole production. Really not a bad seat in the house. There are some concessions with beer and wine. Everyone is very welcoming and its volunteer ran. Great acting with a community theater. Thoroughly enjoyed the play Moon Over a Brewery. Looking forward to going back and supporting our local thespians!

Ive never been disappointed! The sets, costumes, acting are all excellent. I particularly like the type of shows. Sometimes drama, sometimes comedy, but always worthwhile. I stopped going to other larger theaters because the plays were too avant garde. Magentas selections are perfect!

The new theatre is very nice and conveniently located. Friends and I attended Women last month and it was absolutely hilarious! We laughed until we cried. Great performances by all the actors and the prop changes were without incident.

Thank you for being a place where I can be on stage and have a creative outlet. Magenta is not just a place to be part of community theater in Vancouver WA...it is now an extension of my family!

Excellent performances by local actors in a very cool and close space. You feel like you are really there with the actors. Great value too and close to downtown Portland, also.
