Ive been to several bowling alleys in Tacoma and I can say that I definitely feel most comfortable at Chalet. The staff is super friendly and it is smaller and more intimate than any bowling alley Ive ever seen. A very fitting establishment for the Proctor District, this is an alley I recommend to anyone looking for a couple of games. The lane condition is always great and the facility is always clean. The food is delicious and, though its not the biggest selection, they do have a couple of good micro-brews in tap. A beer snob like myself appreciate not having Bud Light, Coors, and Miller being my only options. I only have a couple of negatives with this place. One is that the equipment seems have problems more often than Ive seen elsewhere. Ive had to stop bowling a few times because either the pin setter or the ball return would be jammed. They are quick to fix it but it is an inconvenience, especially when I am on a roll with my shots (this is the only reason I give it four stars). Secondly, they are about $.50 to a dollar more than any other lanes in town but I think the atmosphere make it worth the extra.

Weve been bowling here in a league for the past year and love the place. Its a family run business with really great people working when we are there for league. Good beers on tap, a variety offered throughout the season. I dont eat here because their menu is limited to bar food and my diet doesnt fit with that, but other team members eat while there and seem to enjoy it. Lanes are in great shape and they just told us they are upgrading their scoring system to the newest out there that I hope is a bit less cheezy than the one there now (common at most bowling alleys). Its a great place to have some fun and you cant beat the Proctor neighborhood feel.

Small bowling alley with a really personal feel. Theres nothing to complain about. I dont really get the point of bowling, but I went as part of a work activity, and I really had a blast. All the staff were attentive and courteous.

Such an amazing little bowling alley. Only 12 alleys, but, we were able to reserve an alley and show up at our convince. The animated characters in the score chart were very entertaining. So much fun.

Chalet Bowl is the best bowling alley in town. Small and quaint, family run and family oriented. Decent food, good beer, great lanes...what more could you ask for? Cheers!

Great little bowling alley. Weekends can be busy but on a Monday night it was wide open and a great spot for a date night
